Also when is part 3 coming out, A tutorial on Materials for different real life examples such as beverages(tea,chocolate,wine,drinks) and liquid products like(body creams,Oil, facial serums and the likes) would be highly appreciated, once again keep up the good works. Houdini doesnt have nothing on us Blender folks!

Nice explainer video, thanks. I'm trying to move an object from below to above a pool of water, the fluid is not sticking to the object as much as i'd like and the splash effect is too small. Plus the bubble are too big and round. I think tackling those points would make a great part 3 of this video series 🌊

I would love to have a tutorial on the can shot without using FLIP Fluids as I think many Blender people favor free add-ons!
@CalvinBacon
@CalvinBacon Год назад
You can get FLIP fluids for free from the developers GIT hub page. You just cave to compile the program yourself, takes 10mins and theres step-by-step guides on how it's done. I did it myself last week and it works a charm

man this is great. wondering, what you think the best parameters are to tweak to run blocking passes for quick sim times? would you say just lower the voxel count of the domain? I dont think theres a magic wand for that kind of thing but theres always that one thing I didnt think of. I know turning whitewater off helps quite a bit. Also, for the print ad, is there a way to just calculate that one frame? im guessing it doesnt matter because it will still need to calculate the sim from end to end. thanks much for contributing to the community!
@PixelPlanetStudios
@PixelPlanetStudios Год назад
Thanks for watching! As for quick sim times during the blocking phase, I believe the best way is to reduce the domain resolution, disable whitewater, reduce the surface mesh subdivisions to 0, and turn off any modifiers. Just be sure to change those settings back for the final bake. Regarding the print ad example, you have to calculate the frames leading up to that point. In some cases, it may be faster and easier to model the single frame splash or water by hand to get the exact look you want. Happy simulating!

I would like to know how to get a motionless surface in a glass of water before an object comes in contact with the water in flip fluid? every time I throw a cover the water always starts moving before the object has even collided with the water? if you have any idea thank you in advance

Hello, may I ask what your final modifiers for the caramel liquid were? I'm currently trying to create my own flip fluid sim but the flickering is so obvious I don't know what I'm doing wrong :/
@PixelPlanetStudios
@PixelPlanetStudios Год назад
Hi! These settings may differ for you depending on the domain size, but my final domain used a resolution of 200, surface mesh subdivisions of 2. The fluid mesh modifiers (in order) were remesh voxel size of .0002 with smooth shading, smooth factor of 1 repeated 20 times, again a smooth factor of 1 repeated 40 times, a displace with mid level .5 to bring the size back, and lastly a smooth with a factor of 1 repeated 20 times. It was a lot of testing to get the flicker minimized. I hope this helps and thanks for watching! 🚀

how do I keep my fluid as a sphere in place so that I can let fall an object/ mesh through it with a splash on top and on bottom of the fluidsphere?

Im just starting out with smoke and fluids, im struggling with the simulations taking so long. i struggle to even have the simulation viewable without like 20 frames skipping. is there something more i can do, my pc is quite a beast but ive tried lowering resolutions but its still painfully slow to work on and rebake every single time i change its a 4 hours wait for the sim to run

Hey! I'm struggling with the substeps settings... I increased to 24 or 32 and the holes are still there
@PixelPlanetStudios
@PixelPlanetStudios Год назад
Hey, thanks for watching! Are you changing the domain minimum substeps? If raising the minimum doesn’t help, I’d suggest increasing your resolution and the inflow substeps.

Are there any presets? I am so tired of changing, baking, changing, baking forever to get what I need with these simulators. Its also a bit misleading to say that you can achieve these effects quickly, not if you dont know the hundreds of settings and interactions. Someone come up with a fluid sim with a lot of presets and I will buy it !

You must have changed a bunch of settings between the things you did on this video and rendering because your caramel looks pretty realistic and mine with these settings looks completely fake and weird and don't have a clue what settings to chance to make it look realistic like that =/
