Came here to watch what I'm in for. Got mine on closeout and the freight company broke away half the box and scuffed up one - so much for brand new as the freight company has ignored numerous claim inquires. Anyhow - I'll be installing mine sometime this month...
This video helps a little but is still quite incomplete. I think he started with good intentions but where the video cuts out and goes to finished there are a lot of steps missed particularly with the front part/last steps of the install on the drivers side. I’m actually doing mine now and the holes drilled for the new fuel pump relay bracket are slightly off and need to be drilled out. Hopefully yours lines up better. Good luck
Hello, I recently bought a tacoma with this bumper already installed. Mine doesn’t have any edge trim installed, do you have any on yours ? If so do you have a link for what you used?
This mug cut off the drivers side right at the hardest part. Jesus… Also a word of advice the writing harness on the driver side needs to be unclamped and moved out of the way. When I was putting on the bolts for the front of the driver side I noticed that the wiring harness was smashed between the slider bracket and frame. This is also not mentioned in the instructions. My passenger side did not have a control module, so that part was skipped. Total time was about 4hrs solo
Awesome off-roading video! In some parts, I noticed the 4wp sliders would bend a bit towards the kickout when you land on a boulder and it looked like it made contact with body. Did it do so?
Sorry for the late response they’re great they’re worth the money and cheaper than most of the brands out there. Installation was a little tricky, but not too hard. it also has a built-in cradle for rock lights.
Not op but I used this video to help me get started on installing them. I got it done in about 4hours by myself. Paid $300 with 4wp's black friday sale. If you search his other videos you can find a few times where he actually needed and used them, they didnt fall off or flex much so I guess they hold up. They look kind of nice compared to other brands and are built sturdy enough. I didn't do the optional frame drilling though.
Thanks for the video. Did you end up needing to relocate the AC condenser? I bought the same bumper w/ winch and am wondering if I need to move it back before installing.
sorry for the late reply. the light bar comes with a wire harness and switch but its trash. so i cut the switch and rellay off and connect the wires to my Auxbeam 8 Gang Switch Panel. Chase ?????
Those are some nice rock sliders myself. I install the four wheel parts sliders only because I like the way they look they have that stealth bomber. Look to match the concept I’m going with.
