What’s the point of going into healthcare by paying $300k+ for school, spending 8+ years of education, expelling so much stress and anxiety just to retire at 40? Don’t get me wrong, retiring early is awesome but what’s the point of putting in all that effort to being a dentist just to only spend 8 years in the career by retiring early?
This video is awesome I'm in the process of preparing for college and pre dental and I'm highly interested in becoming an oral surgeon so this video was very helpful. Thank you so much for all the information this a career that I want and I can't wait to get there. 😊
Your definition of physically demanding is a laugh , harden up you wus that is called daily life 'walking from room to room ' bending over in weird positions. you try a job like concreting, mining or soldiering and that is physically demanding not dentistry.

Dentistry has changed more thN i could have imagined. The regulatory and professional boards are a nightmare patients expectations are always needing to be managed. I had some success but i wish i would have had help. My oarents both didnt go to college so i graduated deeply on debt with no help. I wish all the new ones out there good luck.
My mom is a dentist assistant and the dentist last year earned 1 million dollars clean, after all the bills and everything, not to mention he has 2 more offices so just imagine how much he earns!!
I finally passed my DAT exam after all the stress.I thank God for the great opportunity and my tutor Thomas 🎊🎊🎉🎉 All my prayers to those struggling to pass through DAT cause it hasn't been easy.I hope y'all make it some day too Amen🙏
I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing the DAT test she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..
There was a newly minted female orthodontist with one year's experience under her belt in Southern California; she made $400,000.00 a YEAR in 2023!!!!!!!!
Great video, I’ve had some bad dentist in the past 17 teen years and spent thousands of dollars caring for my teeth and just landed a good one, I’m pleased😁the office staff and the hygienist and the Dr. him self. Some say they’re not Dr. Well I’m going with it. I feel like,I’ve won the Lottery! 😁
Our goal is to hit CoastFIRE in five years (~$750,000) in our mid thirties. We have a very good income but stressful work for my wife. Ideally we will scale back then and ideally only hit our TFSA contributions each year (equivalent to the Roth IRA). LOVE the idea of CoastFIRE!
I will have my bachelors covered by my GI Bill because I did four years in the military approximately how much debt to you estimate that I will rack up through dentist school alone?
One of my oldest friends is a dental specialist in our small city. An endodontist partnership (2 very busy practitioners, 1 office) bills about $6 million and they keep overhead low. No night call, very low risk...not bad.
I think a lot of dentists forget that money can be made by investing in other areas. We can absolutely get injured and not be able to work anymore, we can’t rely only on being dentists to make money.
Given dentists are so integral to good human health than why not train NHS only dentists. All training and fees paid with guaranteed salaries and NHS only practices. Well funded, well equppied, well staffed. If we can blow billions on pointless IT system and unnecessary foreign aid we can look after the nations dental heapth. But, tied to NHS for a minimum of 10 to 15 years post qualifying. That would provide a service and breathing room for long term solutions. And, we all start looking after our teeth properly.
