I'm a “professional” songwriter but when I listen to Aimee Mann I feel like a pretender. Her songs are simply on another level. Here we have a kitty cat allegory where we discover that many of us are just like Goose with a cone barrier around us, sadly keeping us from trusting and connecting. Never heard of her but I like the concept of the song, she's got a good legal premise for the title. She'd win with that argument, it is premeditated.
