Damn I'm so broken that UNITY is literally what I hate. Some time ago I started following one artist who suddenly appeared on the Internet and became mega popular in a very short time!! Ofc they draw well, but there are much more talented and stylish people. And their pictures are bought at auctions for 1500 bucks consistently, I have not seen bids less than 1000. And their art quality... Well, it's terrible. It only looks nice from afar + my eyesight is about -5. But when I start looking at the details I start crying from anger and envy that such a lazy artist who treats his customers so carelessly gets huge money and carts of attention and likes. Yeah, I just want the same, but I've been told my whole life that those who do nothing get nothing, but every day I see the opposite picture and unironically want to hang myself because of such deception🙂👍
Does anyone know what to search in order to get the references he would occasionaly show in this video? (The kind of anime girl art), id really like to find more for clothes references!
4:00 tbh just do this anyways even if you have a bigger tablet/canvas, a lot of the time your canvas is tilted when drawing so doing that prevents any unwanted tilt in your art
Emm.. its easy to speak about individuality, when you already have a skill, which is on par with all artists you mentioned as examples. My individuality right now is literal bunch of clumsy contorted lines, probably this is a unique shit, but still - a pile of shit. I can't stop hating myself for the fact, that i am worse than all other people. I can't accept that I'm nothing, that fun, success, and life itself keep sleeping through my fingers
i notice my first mistake which is wasting my time drawing the smallest detail and perfecting them when people that are going to see wont notice them. i start noticing it because the art im making took 44+ hours to finish and im starting to question my self what i been doing all this time. so i decide to take a break from drawing and spent time watching speedpaint, stream painting and analyzing the art style that i like or from an artist that i like. and i notice it kinda messy when you zoom in too close. so i start analyzing all the art in a close zoom to see how messy or how the art was done. so when im done analyzing and watching art video. i decide to put it into practice. which is, i dont perfect my line art, it doesnt have to be perfect, it has to look right and believable in a whole view of the art. i sometime fix my line art with the transform tool. as for coloring, i use mogoon and mignon technique way of coloring, shading, lighting and rendering. and oh boy did i see the difference. now my art took only about 10 to 15 hours to finish and it look even better. and i also play around with the filter too, i use noise effect, gaussian blur and chromatic aberration to make my art stand out a bit.
Here are some things about lineart, maybe they will help someone: 1. The easiest thing you can do to make your lineart look better is to add more lineweight in shaded areas. 2. You can also make lines thicker, when the object are closer to the camera and lighter, when it is further. 3. Try lining with not black. A very dark blue works best for me. And bonus tip: if understanding with what color to shade is hard try dark purple on a multiply layer with about 50-60% opacity.
I think the first thing could be a helpful advice. But calling this a mistake is… just dumb. We aren’t all trying to speed up our art process. Some of us enjoy creating art. Lineart is my favorite part. I love spending hours on it to make it perfect. It brings me joy. I know people who love spending art on rendering. Sometimes that’s just the fun part.
I started off at art following my favorite artist from manga, I slowly breached and became better overcoming the struggles and i know that i still have a journey to go to my inspiration is dwelved from looking at others art that inspire you one thing begineers face (I think) is the jealously of others art not knowing the pure experience it takes, someone who was 14 years old could somehow draw better then a 18 year old male!? amazing! Shocking! they say, but the truth is it really requires experience knowing what to do and a lot of hard work- Sigma quote here Other then that beginner artist all I have to say is, don't give up. OH and uh also have fun..

Really love the higher production on this video. Also amazing point about line art. Legit even just tweaking pressure settings can make a huge difference. For me, I really like thick varied lines and so I set my pressure sensitivity Ito suit that but I also use a brush with a more crisp texture that also suits it. So to artists not looking tier line art, my biggest piece of advice would just be to experiment. Ive been drawing for 4 years and I only just now feel like I got a good grasp of line art.
I got caught up doing this today i kept refixing the lines in my figure sketches in my book its almost crippling when you throw 2 hours away and then wonder why you get burned out
Actually, the biggest mistake is not being good enough at drawing, i.e. balancing your character properly. If the face proportions and body structure are correct, then it will look good even without line weight and shading. Unfortunately, it's the hardest "mistake" to fix 😂
I'm actually impressed that it's not cookie cutter advise, I usually expect very little from youtubers with top 5's but this is genuinely helpful. Nice work :))
