With this in mind, we are focussed on making this vlog a diary. We will take you on the the journey of our lives, as a family with a lot of animals, enjoying the ups and downs of this huge undertaking - to live in a beautiful but crumbling mansion with so very many challenges - and to breathe into you the amazing life and culture of this fascinating place and all the incredible places that we visit.

I totally understand the moaning and groaning. I was in Norway, and took an easy hike and was told how much I was bemoaning the fact that we were hiking on a slight uphill. 🤣🤣🤣

I've come back to have a nice long marathon viewing to catch up to your channel and found that videos are missing. Where are all your earlier videos? Where are the videos of going into the underground cistern and cutting the tree etc etc etc???
A beautiful walk full of scenic vistas, architectural delights, and good humor. Thank you for sharing it with us. On another note, congrats on your new lifestyle! Hope it's going well. As someone in similar circumstances, I find a way to get some exercise easily and simply is: 1. An exercise bike in the house. 2. A "Cardio" track of pop hits that make me want to move. That way, I can manage 20-30 minutes of cardio after a meal with 8-10 fun songs for motivation. Good luck on your journey, and please take us along with you and your lovely fam!

I just loved this adventure...I'm half-way through at the moment, and thinking, "Where's your water, Ollie? I hope you had some to help in the heat climbing up all those steps and the wall that went on and on...and on...! 🥵 High five for resisting temptation! ✋🏼 You will find that the more often you resist, the closer you get to not wanting it all. And, you might like to know that though the ice-cream is freezing, the sugar heats you up. Thanks for sharing with us and for your wonderful entertaining style. Heyyy...welcome to MY world, guys. I make practically everything we eat: muesli, fermented coconut yoghurt, dips + spreads, peanut butter, tahini, raw sweet treat, slices, cakes, artisan bread, gluten free bread, sauerkraut, all fermented foods, frozen fruit 'ice-cream', fresh cold-pressed juices, massage wax, face oil, body butter etc etc, and all organic... I love it! It brings me such joy! It's very important to know what's going into and onto our bodies. I'm thrilled you've moved to the healthy option for yourselves. Doesn't it just make all the difference!? Would you like an incredibly healthy egg replacement? Ok, here it is: 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds soaked in 3 Tbsp of filtered water for a few minutes. Et voila, that's equal to 1 egg! Great for baking. And I just have to introduce you to Chef Cynthia Louise. Check out her channel of the same name here on RU-vid. Thank you so much for the video. There's one thing I would never do in 30 deg heat and above, is walk long hard distances. There is an advantage in not knowing where you are going, you have a wonderful adventure discovering new places that you may not have seen..
I would also say - ice cream is processed (anything cooked is considered processed) but it’s not ultra processed (ultra processed foods has things you can’t pronounce in it). I assume they don’t use nasty chemicals, fillers, gums, etc in their ice creams.
Podcast suggestion for you - Food Matters by GIY Ireland. They have done wonderful podcasts on healthy food and how to heal yourself through food. My son is ADHD and the difference in his personality when he has eaten food dyes and processed sugars is real. Also ‘Pressure Cooker’ specifically ‘The Panic over Ultra Processed Foods’ and the book ‘Ultra Processed People’ by Chris van Tulleken.
beautiful city - now go drink lots of water - i live in colorado and we are used to telling people to drink lots of water here because of the altitude.
A hot day walking on cobblestones, even with comfy shoes my feet would feel like lead in no time. Yup, mad dogs and Englishmen. Bless you for being a trooper. A tilley hat with ice in a plastic bag in the top zipper is my solution to hot walks. (There's a zipper compartment in the lid of the tilley hat, and I use a plastic sandwich bag and fill it with ice cubes...it helps to stay cool, and when ice melts it's a nice sip of cold water to hydrate)
