I think you are talking utter shit, a man walks under a drone that is being landed and you say the drone pilot is negligent!! Haha and then some woman who has no control over her unleashed dog allows it to attack a drone being landed. DJ audits is out sticking up for our rights and you have a problem with our rights by the sounds of it. You sound like you don't understand what being a free person in public means. Nice lack of understanding but f what these audits are doing, get a life and stop with you're pathetic videos

I don't think that it's a 241 because it's obvious that a drone pilot (or a r/c model plane pilot) will land their thing by them, and the security guy approached DJ. I don't think he's hated, some think he's a nuisance, but I have never encountered anyone who has got particularly strong feelings about him, or in fact about any of them bar one or two (UKMTT and Marti thingy). An individual can take footage in a private capacity and then sell it later, think about the times that you see video or photos feature on the news and it says that it was taken by a member of the public. The biggest differences between being a private person and a business would seem to be if it is taxable income, and liability insurance. As the CAA controls the airspace it'd seem likely that the land owner controlling the airspace is still not going to happen. Maybe as a business an auditor would have to provide copies of footage under a SAR, but I think that there'd be legal argument to question if they have to give any footage taken in public, and just like buildings in the background of a non auditing photo wouldn't usually get any SAR or GDPR rights, a question may come up that DJ or whoever is operating in CAA airspace and the companies are in the background, so with no rights. I haven't thought about it enough to come to an opinion but I suspect that those legal issues would come up.

I wouldn't agree with the author of this video. DJ Audits sets the standards for auditing. I don't particularly like his use of English grammar with his use of 'You was' but as regards of his journalistic ability he sets a standard. Whether people like him or not is just a matter of personal preference.

@DJISupportGlobal I don’t have customers as such, but do have subscribers. I do sell drone services, but I like to help people learn more about drones and how to fly them responsibly and hopefully in more places. As far as the repair side goes I have people asking who don’t know how to proceed when they crash their drone and they don’t have care refresh. They sometimes will send them to third party companies for repair where the service doesn’t seem so good and the cost is often much higher. This is why I made the video to help people understand the process and what to expect. I’m always happy to collaborate if I can give my perspective on a service or product that helps others in the drone community

Thank you for this video as I'm in the process of starting up this hobby so am already looking around on Drone Assist about certain restricted areas local to me, and have already found one that is interesting, that being a local police station and the references on the site to it. The station is on Bournville Lane, in the Bournville area of Birmingham. I can accept that the app probably does not know that this station is known as the E1 (Echo One) and is the operational control room for the local county, but the app has it listed as being a NORTHAMPTONSHIRE Police station when it is actually West Midlands, so is about 50 miles out. This may only seem a minor thing to mention, but it may bring the overall accuracy of this app into question.

Nice video thank you! Drone assist is great but be nice if they had a chart/legend on web site/app explaining the colours. I know it shows on app when you click on an area but a separate legend would be nice! Bit confused about yellow areas near me, one is a graveyard and says ground hazard, operation of your drone may raise security or privacy issues? Is this just because they might be a funeral or someone mourning? Like I said the drone assist app is great but sometimes unclear about certain area restrictions.

I have no interest or involvement in flying drones or making videos but after watching a couple you quickly learn that (DJ at least) makes it clear as to what he's about and sticks to it pretty well. If security guards learned a few simple facts of life and walked away instead of making something out of nothing they'd avoid a lot of trouble. And DJ Audits would make less income. So if you don't like him, stop being a prat by giving him material

@@Firefly_UAV I haven't no, I shall have a browse on your channel indeed, as I stumbled into your video on a search to see if there was more recent developments and to get an idea of how the publics reacts. See, I'm hoping C1 drones to be like E-scooters. Technically illegal, but very tolerated by the authorities while everyone and their dogs basically choose the civil disobedience route and to do it anyways to a point where the CAA will be forced to just let us be like the rest of the developed world..
@Firefly_UAV
@Firefly_UAV Месяц назад
I think many people are tolerating drones being flown illegally for some time now. Many people disobey the rules or completely disregard them altogether! It will only take one serious incident for all that to change though!
@SiriusXAim
@SiriusXAim Месяц назад
@@Firefly_UAVI guess it can be seen from the other side of thigs. There has been no serious incident not here, not in the EU, not in the US. And when the vast majority of people disregard a law without any negative consequences on public safety, it demonstrates that said restriction is pointless and should be repealed. Which is what's gonna happen in 2026 when the CAA finally recognises C ratings. Rendering the current restrictions even more pointless. Imagine, flying an Air 3 over London at 11:59 on NYE 2025, the flight would literally become legal a minute later, like a reverse Cinderella. Regulation should be evidence based, not "proactive" based on supposed what if's....

Good informative video . I'm extremely new to the drone world, I only have a 'toy drone' at present but I'm about to invest in either a dji mini 4k or Potensic Atom . I have the Drone Assist app and now understand how to use it much better thanks to your video. My question is (over and above the SSSI areas ) how , in your experience , do you deal with local councils and their bye laws. I live in Bournemouth and have been told by a few people that its forbidden to fly in local parks etc run by the council. I've tried finding out further information on their website but there doesn't seem to be anything relating to drones . Once again many thanks for the information provided, I've subscribed to your channel and watched more of your videos, keep up the good work. Cheers Terry.
@Firefly_UAV
@Firefly_UAV 2 месяца назад
Thanks for your comment Terry. If you’ve checked the website and can find no mention of any bylaw and looked in the park you I tend to fly to look for signs then I’d say you’ve done your due diligence. Somone did do a freedom of information request to all the councils in the UK to ask about drones and bylaws. I can’t remember where inseam it, but I’m sure you’ll find a thread about it on the grey arrows website. If you call and ask for permission they are likely to deny that permission as the did in one of my videos on clitheroe castle a couple of years back. Also be aware of the airshow in Bournemouth and the temporary restrictions that might go with it - check drone assist every time before you fly. Good luck with your droning and have lots of fun!
