The American Kidney Fund helps people fight kidney disease and live healthier lives. These videos feature real life stories from the people who advocate, lead and inspire to make a difference every single day.
Do you think if a person has stage 5 kidney failure and they go to dialysis three times a week for the past 2 years, do you think they can reverse the kidney failure or that's it right there
These medicines are what I recommend my patients - Mutrakrichantak Churna, Chandanadi Vati, Phyllanthus niruri, Curcumin Capsules. These medicines by Planet Ayurveda have won over my trust and will surely win you over too.
C3G really changes your life, it changed me, it changed the people around me and how they treated me, it changed everything. I have a routine appointment at the GN clinic at Toronto General hospital in Just 4 days. After the age of 16 i developed severe anxiety and depression, started getting addicted to self harm and tried to attempt suicide but thats something most people fail at. Im ok now but i know patients like me just need to hang in there and try to keep a healthy lifestyle. I hope you are in a better place now than the one you might have been in when you were diagnosed. I wish you good health and good luck.
I try my best to take part in research and help raise awareness about this disease and similar conditions. I also use social media to the best of my ability. I thank you for sharing your story with the public, ive shared my story too when i was still being treated in Canada at SickKids but now im being treated at Toronto General Hospital after turning 18.
Im still trying to learn more about my condition and longterm health concerns. My doctors say im stable but if i was to have kidney failure, it would be 10 years down the road. I think what scares me is that i will get sick at a point in my life where i will have less help from family, more responsibilities and more lifestyle related issues. Have your doctors discussed renal failure concerns with you over the years.
I was diagnosed at age 9 and my symptoms also started at age 8. My diagnoses was for C3GN and have been through so many treatments. Im currently only 19 and have had 3 renal biopsies, had high bp issues, been in a coma, had a seizure and PRES.
I was diagnosed with C3GN at age 9, am 19 now, have had 3 biopsies since my diagnosis back in 2014 and am stable but disease progression is something that just continues longterm slowly
I have C3GN and was diagnosed at the age of 9 in Jan 2014. Since then I've been put through a lot of treatments, renal biopsies, clinical trials and routine hospital visits. It has now in 2024 been 10 years since I was diagnosed and still I have not reached ESRD, but my nephrologist says if i was to experience renal failure, it would be 10 more years down the road based on my current health.
My mom goes to her primary care doctor frequently bc she is diabetic and hypertensive Not sure how it was missed but now she’s at the hospital w 20% function 😓
Me who had grade 5 hydronephrosis as a toddler growing up and now has stage 4 CKD Hahaha I’m in danger Note: I’ve never been diagnosed with s4 ckd but given the symptoms I’ve had and having hypertensive crisis it’s pretty likely I have it unfortunately
My mom is in her 60s and a year into dialysis. She is weak and deteriorated , and we are hesitant for transplant and do not have family donor. Home Dialysis is new to me and never addressed .

20 Year old with Castleman disease with kidney failure here. I was scared for the treatment. I saw this video before i started my dialysis and it helped me calm down. When i started the treatment it went somewhat wrong and i was feeling sick and vomiting every time they started the machine within 10 minutes. So i was hooked up to an ICU dialysis machine which took over double the time 8-10 hours. But eventually it got better and i managed the normal machine. Now a year later, my kidnes started to work again and my values are almost back to normal. Free healthcare in my country aswell was fantastic. Thank you for producing this video for me and for everyone.
If you feel the need to have on hand some prepackaged foods, look at the "organic" brands. Majority do not have phosphates added. You still have to be careful of the sodium content though. While some have a lower sodium level, several have as much or more than other regular brands.
At 66yo, I added CrossFit to my 6k/day run, I also started supplementing with creatine and my eGFR/cre dropped from 86 to 48 (in 4 weeks) . EGFR/cys stable at 89.
