AKF Ambassador Briefing | October 2022 | Immunosuppressive Coverage, Advocacy After the Election 

For this month’s briefing we will talk about the implementation of Medicare coverage for immunosuppressive drugs for the life of a transplant. H.R. 5534, the Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Patients Act of 2019, passed two years ago and will take effect on January 1. We’ll go over what things might look like for everyone at the beginning of the year.
Next up will be a discussion about what advocacy will looks like after the election, even without knowing who will have control of the House or the Senate.
