Very cool watching you make adjustments to your Tone Master Pro. I realize this is after the fact but it's still very cool to watch you do this. I'm very happy you have this powerful tool because after all the hard work you've done over the years honing your craft you deserve effective tools to make you sound the way you want. Tonemaster may need to be mounted near your hand if you find your foot isn't able to pinpoint what you need to do.
Cleartune phone app is actually very accurate ,I got the Idea from Mike McConville (String Tech workstations ) I have tested it with snarks and me peterson strobe and is accurate only costs $4 so I was a Little concerned about its accuracy but my snarks just wouldnt hold up especially when my son lived with me lol
They should Logo these Chibson ,only thing I have a Issue with these guitars is the logo ,they sound good ,I had a friend ask me to look at a guitar that was supposed to be a Les Paul Standard it was not is was a chibson ,the guy was shocked that was selling it but i could tell almost immediately ,China fakes everything even car parts and uses the name of the product they are copying, they cant be sued either obivously
Tell your friend the string notes are E at A nd D rink G ood B everage E veryday Then tell him, you always skip a fret going in sequence EXCEPT no skipping a fret only on the B note and The E note. B,C E,F the rest are skip a fret
I think this was more of a rant video than an instructional video. I'll get video of me putting lock washers on a guitar like this as soon as another one comes in. Thanks @RustyRaceHorse
I'm bummed I didn't catch it when it was live. But I missed everything I was supposed to be doing. At least I can watch it now. Its really good man!! Hitting on all 4 cylinders !
Hi Marshall. What are you doing!!?? There's not enough left-handed guitars in the wild!!!!!😜 Years ago, I did the same thing to a right-handed Sigma acoustic, and it turned out awesome although I didn't match the wood at all. Kinda cool to see the old slot so easily to show off my handywork.😉 lol. Hope you're doing well dude!!
I agree about there being far too few left handed guitars inthe wild bro. I couldn't not do it to this one. I'm doing great. Gig this weekend. It's been a busy summer of playing live. I'm also very busy at my bench. I feel blessed.
I have a 60’s reissue strat that does not have the “screw” to body wire. Instead there are two black wires going to plug in Jack. Where do I put the screw wire from the new pre wired pick up guard?
The output jack, I can only assume is touching the body of the guitar. Those grounds should work just as well as one that is attached with a screw. Adding a "screw in" ground anywhere you can install a screw without running the screw through the back of the guitar won't hurt a thing. Again, just be careful to not run the screw through the inish of the guitar. I hope this helps.
I was born in Portland, and I can't begin to tell you how many items I purchased from Old Town Music. The shirt was a gift from my brother in law. I visited your channel and subscribed. Thanks for watching. I hope maybe the video might be of some help. My rhythm guitarist found himself moving knobs on this pedal, so I took it to work, and helped solve the problem. We'll see how it works this Saturday at our show in Walla Walla Washington at Plumb Cellars Winery. I hope I get to shake your hand one day. Thanks for watching.
Tom Petty said it best. NEVER APOLOGIZE🤘 It is also the responsibility of anyone who watches RU-vid to watch every single video that every single creator posts, or does live. 😁
@Vic_clicknmic Thank you for joining the live stream of our gig. I am constantly making progress in repairs. I greatly appreciate your question. I am currently working on two Martin guitars that both needed cosmetic "surgery" and other pretty major repairs. We may be live again on Saturday August 31st at Marcy's in Walla Walla once again.
@joemcgraw5529 Thank you so much for your comments in the LIVE. A few details..... Scott and I are both using VERY NEW gear for our guitar tone. Scot is using a Friedman IR-X. An amazing amp sim with cab IR. I wish you could hear it in real life. I am using a Fender Tone Master Pro. That unit contains my entire multiple amp system with stereo cabinets, and every effect I use during the set. It also houses our vocal effects. Scott(vocalist) uses a latching pedal to turn on and off the delay for his voice. I am able to tap the tempo to make them tap in time. It is one of the best pieces of gear I have ever owned. Jayce(drummer) is playing his first gig with the kit we purchased for the band. It's a Quest Love Breakbeats kit. Only two mics at this show. He's been playing music his entire life. He's also an amzing guitarist and bass player. Aaron(bass) is the newest member of the lineup. I'm unsure of all of his gear, but we run his D.I. post pedal chain to get the tone you hear. He's a blessing, and a magnificent human. As a band, we communicate quite often. We even get together for a dinner from time to time. The rides to gigs in the "band van" are some of the best times we all have. We talk about anything. Even with differing opinions, we agree to disagree and move on. It's beyond a band. It's friendship and respect.
What did you do? You pointed the Hughes & Kettner up at the ceiling and looky there! And now you figger the landlord should pony up and get that thing all fixed up for you! Well that sounds reasonable!
@gurianboy you made me laugh, brother Bill. I'll do a short every single day until it is repaired. I figure I owe it to myself and the world to see how long it will take to get this repair done.
Prayers and healing to Scott ,Gary and Steven we are all thinking of you .I really like Ruby very interesting wiring configuration on that guitar ,is that the way it came from the factory?I have a Fender Blacktop that was my sons and he hated the floyd rose on it ,im getting used to the floyd and once you understand how to set them up and adjust the action on them i find that they are not as bad as people think
This guitar was modified by it's original owner. I'm going to adjust a couple things to try and improve tuning stability. I play differently that the owner of this guitar, and I must consider this fact. I'm a brutal guitar player. I am not gentle by any stretch of the imagination. I think this detauil about my playing comes from the influence my dad has on my playing. I owe it all to him. Thanks for watching Joe. I appreciate you man.
Hello. Very cool video glad that you care enough to help a friend. Your website isn't working. Will you send me an email and let me contact you? Thanks
Yes, I know the site is not working. GoDaddy screwed me on the site, and I had to give up. They purchased the site name, and want me to buy it from them. I will not allow a corporation to treat me in that way, so they can have it. Greed, and unethical actions are not how I roll. My email address is marshallturner09@gmail.com. It's available if you click the more link on my channels home page. I can't wait to hear from you.
I have the same bass all original parts. Getting an awful buzzing sound when facing a certain way with the treble turned beyond halfway. I was told it could be the shielding paint being old. Would you use copper foil tape to try and remedy the issue?
You are 100% correct. I'm anxious to finally get started on this one. The neck and bridge will both receive a fresh coat of unboiled linseed oil as I do with every guitar I have the priviledge to work on. Bless you vayabroder729.
Seagull guitars are awesome. I LOVE them. Godin does have a hand in their making. I believe Godin is the parent company. Great stuff, bro. Looking forward to hearing it play.
my son bought a S6 Seagull Dreadnought and let me tell you the cedar tops really ring ,the only issue with them is they can crack easily ,but he went all over the place with that guitar and only reason it did crack is because he was in Alaska fishing and brought the guitar along ,he got off the boat after fishing for 15 days straight and went to a local jam night ,he was walking up the steps to the stage tripped and his knee went into the guitar right at the bridge ,he messaged me about it and told him to take the pressure off the strings , when he got back I did the repair ,3 braces one tone bar later and 3 long cracks it was back in action ,I had to use a camera to glue the braces back in place but that was 4 years ago and good ol titebond did the trick and Dad saved the guitar ,but for the money of those guitars with someone on a budget you cant beat them ,huge booming sound, of course I replaced the saddle and nut but man what a guitar
I love guitar stories! They are very personal to us and ours. Seagull,Art and Luthiery, Simon & Patrick, Norman, All under the Godin family. Cheers brother!!
Just subbed your channel you do good work, especially after I watched you put linseed oil on the fretboard and you fret polishing is excellent,Great channel!
