The doubler effect can be used in older versions of Neural DSP amp sims if you own a new one with the effect included. Here's how.

Good advice. A stereo delay in the chain before the amp sim (Nolly) does the trick too. Mix 100%, extrem panning, no feedback, one side 0ms, the other to taste. I think its somewhat knwon as the Haas-Effect. Greets from the Balkans.

Thanks for watching @MrBalkanian. I do my best to share information to help anyone use the tools I've discovered to hopefully improve their "sound", and confidence in playing, recording, and producing music. I often use a delay effect mixed 100% wet on an aux channel with the delay set at 16 to 24 ms panned hard L or R opposing the parent track to creat a stereo effect. This is extremely useful when recording a first track for a vocal, or guitar. It allows us to use our stereo hearing to get a big bold sound while tracking. Bless your heart my friend.

I think my ears are broken. Whenever I use the doubler in any of the plugins the sound seems to be a lot clearer and louder coming from the left headphone and I thought it was just me doing something wrong but even here I can hear it. Edit: Tried flipping my headphones and it's definitely louder in the left headphone no matter which ear I put it against so not a problem with my ears.

I use the doubler in my DAW. This allows me, or anyone to pan the effect wherever I want. I rarely ever use an amp sim in its stand alone mode. I think your observation is unique, but you can see in the meter on a track that one side in the doubler effect is certainly louder than the other. We're talking 1 or 2 dB. I beleive this is part what makes the doubler sound like a doubler. A stereo field can be acheived by a simple volume difference. I hope this response makes sense my friend. Thanks for your comment, and thanks for watching,.

I have 2 questions I would be grateful if you would answer. So am I right think that you can do that with other plugins like for instance use Rabea/Guitar Rig 7? 2nd question is do you put Rabea at the top of the signal chain so it goes into Rabea first then into the other plugin second ot thee other way around? Thanks and I just Subscribed! Stan-

My signal chain was Rabea into Nolly to acheive a doubling effect. The same can be done with any of the NDSP VST's that have certain effects that others don't. I use the Petrucci VST in fron of Nolly to get the Wah pedal, or Rabea into Nameless to get the synth and doubler. I always set the second instance of NDSP to stereo input, because the first one in the chain will always have a stereo output even though you may not be using any stereo effects. This can be done with all of the NDSP plug ins. Thanks for the great question, and thanks for watching Stan.
