make sure you hit that subscribe button so you won't miss anything we do!
I believe that this video is not included in your amazing playlist of the restoration but I'm not 100% sure. What I can tell you is that there are 24 parts out but only 23 in the playlist. This is not meant to be an insult or anything just a heads up. Love your videos and am looking forward to receiving my driver's license next year and purchasing a Volvo Amazon of my own. Your content inspires me a lot to work on project cars with my brother in the future. I don't plan on getting into a career as a mechanic, but I still want to work on many old cars and your content breaks that process up into more easily understandable steps. You've broken the ice for me and taught me a few tips tricks along the way, thank you so much for this great piece of media.
Excellent vid buddy, love the Amazon Volvo's. I had a 122s Automatic (1966). I purchased the car in 1980 and enjoyed it for a few years before I fell upon hard times and I had to sell it 😢.
🎉🎊A huge congratulations on your new shop 🎊🎉 Wonderful to see how you are making it your own, very cool clock by the way, and a great color scheme🤗. I only have one small suggestion for you, if your shelves are higher than you, (so you don’t whack your head), please add a couple of planks on top, running from the back wall towards the shelfs by the door. It will make the whole thing so much more secure. (Safety first🤗)
Hahaha yeah, i have the whole row screwed into the wall with big 8cm long screws. All the heavy parts are on the bottom and i need to put the X brace on the backs to make them un-collapsable 😅🤣 thanks for telling me!
True, but i have bought a 250L Kaeser brand new. I'm not putting a 200Kilo compressor worth €5600,- up on a plateau 😅😂 i will see how big it is when it gets here. In the spot i made for it right now it wouldn't be in a bad spot for me 😁
Kaeser is the most expensive brand here i found out later 😅🤣 but the quality is there they say so if it survives 20 years of sandblasting and other tough stuff i'm okay with that price. My Airpress broke down every week and i'm so done with cheap stuff..
Sorry bud, that's not a diode, it is a resistor, is there to deem the switch light when you have the lights on at night, so you have a light helping to locate the switch at dark. Then the resistor gets bypassed when you switch on the hazard and the switch light flashes at full brightness.
I just found your channel. I have watched all the videos on this project. I have enjoyed watching them. I'm impressed with your skills. That's going to be a very nice car when you are done. Good for you
Thank you so much and good to hear that you like it! I need to find some time to get going again. I moved last month to a bigger shop and the amazon has been in the corner since the day we pushed her into the shop 😅 The car needs paint right now and paint means spending big money. And with building my own shop that is a bit difficult right now. I'll try to get some work done as soon as i can!
Last month I cleansed the PCV for my dad's 940 turbo with an accidental mixture of petrol and diesel, but it worked like a dream! I did notice however that a previous owner has done a flametrap delete, I don't know why, but I also fitted an oil catchcan to eliminate any excessive crankcase pressure as an overkill measure, so I guess and hope it balances itself out.
It was crazy to see it for myself. Dreaming of working at this level of doing a rebuild since when i was a little kid. Me watching overhaulin, fantom works, wheeler dealers and kindig kustoms and go on made this dream and right now i'm living it! 😄
Thanks for the video, excellent work, great to see such a big step forward, and I can't wait for the next instalment! I wish I could have this Amazon when it's finished!
🤗 😂👍love the fuzzy dice in your missing windshield😂😂😂, great work as always 🤗 so nice to see it out in the sunshine. Congratulations on your new shop, it will be so good for you not having to crawl on the floor all the time. Thank you for the update 👍🤗🤗🤗
Excellent progress! Glad to see how well things are going. I feel your pain with the orange peel (rough texture) you got with your primer. I had the same, and also runs and sags. I sanded it all smooth and then the final paint coat also had orange peel and a few runs. Oh will, I'll be sanding and buffing and hopefully it will look ok. I think I'm slightly ahead of you in terms of progress, but you managed to get a lot done in this video. Keep up the good work. Tot ziens!
Another fantastic video with some very thorough work performed. This will be a very solid car for many years to come. Sounds like you have a lot of nice quality of life improvements on the horizon as well with the new shop. Best of luck! Need to bring my Amazon back for rework. Apparently the sills were welded on a bit too far towards the rear, creating a gap in the front where rainwater can flow into the cavity. One of the holes for the trim on the rear quarter panel was either welded shut or filled with body filler. It is of course the one closest to the rear door that I have a hard time reaching from the boot. Hopefully something can be done to remedy these issues.
Amazing video, great progressive. Can't wait to see the new workshop :) I will be purchasing all the panels for my amazon tomorrow, I am so excited apon this journey that has begun, thank you soo much.
Ooh my goodness, your arms and shoulders must be killing you after all that work 🫣🫣🫡 Great video update, your perfectionism and willingness to just keep going is really inspiring to see. Can’t wait to see your new shop 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hahaha yeah my neck and back were not really happy. I can't wait to finaly have a 2 post lift in 2 weeks! I will make a full video of getting the shop, getting it ready and installing everything so i'll do my best! 😄👍🏻
Great progress, I enjoyed watching. I didn't bother to strip and repaint the underside of mine, but did put the first coat of paint on it this week. I have some runs and orange peel, so will deal with that and hopefully soon spray the final coat. So you have some catching up to do. ;)
I'm in no hurry. Roadtrip is canceled to the amazon doesn't need to be ready in 3 months anymore. My shop is priority number one right now. If i make more money the amazon will be done faster. It's that simple 😂👍🏻 Great job on your car, keep going!
Yes, the gas tank that came in the car is perfectly fine except the filler.. the filler is soldered onto the tank and that is cracked. I'll need to fix that weld but then it will go back in the car. No need for a new one when the old one is rustfree inside 😄👍🏻
