First of all, great video. I have conducted a little study on the maori. It seems that the maori have a very imperialistic/violent culture and beliefs. You are wrong. Māori are very diverse. Some were violent and warring, some were great traders and peacemakers. The group who attacked the moriori were violent opportunists. Blaming all Māori for their actions would be like blaming all Europeans for the actions of the Nazis.

for most maori that is true - their ancestors did not attack moriori. it was a specific event in 1835 and only involved warriors of two iwi. saying "maori did it" is like saying "europeans committed the atrocities of the holocause." the british did make up the story of all this happening on mainland nz when maori first arrived, but that myth was debunked a hundred years ago.
