I think my olgierd was bugged during my deathmarch run, as despite me having a repaired lvl adequate weapon, skills that buff damage etc, he only took between 10-20 damage per swing. And his healthbar was huuuuuge. It took me a few attempts as he himself hit hard and could one shot through quen with heavy swing. But the successful attempt took my roughly 40 minutes of fighting. Thats a long ass time of not getting hit.
until the age of 13 boys and girls are essentially equal in strength. Given that the trial happens to boys between 10 and 16 years of age there should be many girls who could pass if it were based on strength alone. This is especially true because medically speaking young girls tend to thrive more than boys. I'd assume women can't be witchers due to a biological component that is male-specific.
The game gives players the freedom to choose who they want Geralt to end up with, if Triss’s personality resonates with you more you can go with Triss or if Yennefer’s personality resonates with you more you can go with Yennefer, that’s the beauty of role-playing.
Dettlaff was not right but he is still a man that has a mind of a child - he was innocent and pure hearted and believing and easy to manipulate , the perfect victim for a woman like Syanna! I symphatize with him so much, i like him and he is one of my favourite OC characters from all the characters that are not in the books. so even if he is a bit extreme he is still my boy <3 😎😘💗💔
First Idea) Maybe I'm remembering something completely wrong. I thought that witchers were specifically mutated to be infertile. Or maybe it is just a consequence of the mutations. But I thought it was a feature not a bug. They didn't want witchers easily creating other witchers. Well, what if female witchers could reproduce and naturally create witcher children. Maybe they aren't as strong as normal witchers... whatever whatever. Balance the world building however you want. But imagine if some country developed the magic-tech to create an army of witchers through natural reproduction processes. You could have a very good motivation for producing female witchers beyond "just cause." Second Idea) Maybe there is a country where girls aren't wanted as much as boys. Maybe abortion isn't legal and orphanages are overflowing. There is a baby boom but parents are wiped out from disease or war. There is some reason for there being a lot of children and no where to put them. Enters evil organization to solve governments street urchin problem. All kids(boys and girls) are kidnaped into terrible experiments trying to recreate the witcher mutation process from scratch. They don't have any direction or knowledge how the mutations are done. So, they start researching and for whatever reason their path of experimentation finds that female witchers are possible where male ones aren't. OR maybe female witchers are produced with less fatalities. idk. This way there is a motivation to have female witchers, resources to produce witchers, resources to do the research, and enough children to supply the process. If the reason for the many parentless children is war it could make sense that the witcher research is a desperate move to form an elite fighting force capable of defending the country or pursuing a failed/failing war campaign.
Enter Ciri who has a lot of sympathy for people having their agency taken away for other's selfish power/political goals. She eventually(a whole game of quests and plot and gwent tournaments happen first) adopts all the new witcher children and brings them back to kaer morhen. This end would probably be the "good" ending where the bad ending leads her to kill all the children or perhaps just lets them not live while be exploited in the war effort. lolol You know how these games go.

Heres my thing, i think you're correct, i think women can't be witchers due to their oestrogen levels I don't think the mutation would work properly even if they tried best case they'd just be artificial sorcerer's because their strength wouldn't be high enough to mutate but their spirit would probably make them straight up magic
Not going to be female witcher, it will be ladyboss surpass every difficulty that male witcher has gone through, loves by all people instead of hatred toward witchers and there will be white straight male villain that stupid and weak in everything easily defeat by ladyboss. All over messed up same Americanized vomit again. It's going to be suck. Witcher saga ends in the witcher 3. That's it.
I've talked about this with other lore nerd friends, and my thought process is that the Trial of the Grasses being the door to entry revolves around the medical science available. We kinda made a fun thought experiment about some foreign Witcher school we don't know about, far enough in the future that the science and alchemy surrounding the Trial has progressed from chaotic mutation to a largely controlled process.
My dream is that we creat our own witcher and our witcher meets gerat while hunting. I mean in cyberpunk we create our character and they did a really great job with that so they have the experience with character creation. The problem I have with ciri as the protagonist is that A : she is overpowered and B: I wanna play a real witcher in a witcher 4 game with the mutations and everything
Why would you want female witchers from an in-universe perspective? By design, witchers are sterile killing machines made to hunt monsters. There is no incentive to design a process that turn women into witchers for the same reasons there is no in-universe reason to create female astartes. If you introduced female witchers it will be for out of universe reasons; for political reasons. It shouldn't be included. NOW, if you want to make a game where you play as sorcerers sure, or as Ciri. She is my favourite character.
1st female Witcher's even if they survive the trials has to say goodbye to child bearing and I can display even more needs to be given up just like certain witches...depends on the constitution😏
Try the Chort Decoction against Olgierd. You can now block his attacks. Against Detlaf the most important thing is timing your dodge against his bats. When the sound stops, wait one second then dodge. The deadliest enemies in the game for me are wolves and wild dogs.
All those options are good ideas however I think that my favourite would definitely be after the events of the Witcher 3, if he were to briefly appear in passing I think that would be a great addition for whatever does happen in the next game. I don't think I would mind him appearing as he is a huge part of the story till this point so it would be nice to have a somewhat passing of the torch kind of vibe to whoever will be the next focus for the games (going blind here till they release more information of course) I do hope that however the appearance happens that it will respect the story they have created till now~ Thank you for the video! Like in history with warriors, it's not that no woman could ever be a warrior, but if serious things depended on having the most phisically strong and phisically and mentally tough person, who would you choose? Same with withchers. They would never choose the worse and the more risky option for diversity's sake, like in today's society...
Not everything has to be done "the Girl boss way". Which is to say, do the the same thing as the men, just better. imo, a vile practice in media these days. It just takes away the strengths/attributes of women & is condescending towards men. If I had to look at it trough the Witcher world's perspective. Becoming a Witcher is quite the opposite of a privilege, nor is it prestigefull (only exception being within the Witcher schools). To suffer a worse fate than death & become a mutant. A Witcher is only cool for us looking into this fictional world. From what I recall, the children who go through the trials were orphans for various reasons. War, starvation or given, with little option. If I had to imagine. One factor is purely cultural & values. It's totally okay not wanting your daughters to be sent to a meat grinder... Second would be practical; We're not structurally the same. Physicality is one of those attributes. A interesting side note. A physical attribute women have, is that they recover faster because of their estrogen. The sheer amount of volume of sets they can do, often out paces men. If you've ever done CrossFit, you'll have encountered the exercise; "planch" which they naturally dominate or circuit workouts that they just bulldozed through. Women really excel in endurance by recovery. To be rather frank though, we rather complement each other than not. It's not better or worse attributes. Just different settings & you'd wish you had innate talent in that specific aspect.
I love Geralt, but I don't know how I feel about this news. It just doesn't make sense having a new witcher school when a main theme of Geralt's trilogy was witchers being a dying breed. Since this is going to be around the time of Geralt, I feel like CDPR is just going to restrict themselves just for the sake of a Geralt cameo.
I don't think that it's impossible that there can't be female witchers because there are male witchers the biology is not much different and I might even say that might be the point of Ciri she might start the female witcher line because she is the closest thing to a female witcher already and she might find the answer to the problem and the witcher recipe through her worldly travels (this is more for the games that are a bit easier to put in then the books)
to close this issue.. Geralt should be with what the player preference is.. Just think of it as your own multiverses where every possibility can be considered canon.. Its what I do to every game I played. 🥰🥰🥰 But Still Shanny is the one for me ❤🔥❤🔥
Detlaff is the toughest by a long way. Then the Toad. Jenny O’ the Woods because it’s early on and you don’t have access to top weapons. Then the Wicked Witch as she takes a longer time to bring down than she should. Lastly the Crones. You’ve got to constantly on the move, have no access to healing potions and they hit hard.
I kinda want Ciri to be the protagonist of the next game and so, I had this idea where she stumbles upon a witcher skeleton and found out that it was a female. She then goes on a journey discovering the ruins of a long-lost witcher school that has successfully created female witchers.
Funny how you appologies in advance to calm potential shitstorms. Somehow bodystrength of females and males became controvertial. But to break a branch: thats a bit of a lore whole in the witcher lore. While men on average are stronger physicly, women (on average) have an advantage in pain endurence (which they need to give birth)
