I'm a Big 4 Senior Manager working in management consulting for 8 years. In my spare time, I make videos to do with career, business and personal & self development. If you want to have a chat, drop me an email. I'll buy you a coffee if you come meet me at my Deloitte work office in London.
Thank you so much. I keep struggling with huge amounts of information and what I usually get are systems like Zettelkasten, Obsidian etc. However: I have the same security issues and only have OneNote. You're the first that gives some good advice on how to go about this.
This was a great convo to listen to! I previously worked in big 4 consulting and I resonate with a lot of what you’re saying. I’m also an introvert and felt a bit challenged by the need to be visible to the right people regardless of my performance. Also I preferred working with partners that worked on client delivery than partners that seemed very focused on sales. The partners that worked on client delivery felt sincere and felt like they were in the trenches with us 😅
I can relate to this when people speak fast and other individuals talk over each other , that's where i lose it. And above that we are not allowed to intervene and ask questions, as whose statement was that in the first place.
hey i love your video sm! I think being active is real important, actively ask for feedback, actively ask manager to praise your well-done job through the word of mouth ^^ btw you ends video with "ciao" or "chào". Chào is hello/goodbye in my language-Vietnamese
i write minutes for meetings all the time at work as i am a senior admin, but i want to improve my minute taking skills because i feel like i don't know if my minutes are good enough to a high standard? i haven't had any complaints about them, i usually capture the main important points discussed and then the actions, but i want it to sound more professional if that makes sense? do you have any tips for this please? thanks x
*Get lost to some place else then. Stop moaning. Indian women should be grateful for the jobs they get in England and Wales . You're in England complaining about "whiteman stuff". Indian envy knoweth no bounds.*
Hey. Am a cse grad from a tier 2 clg from India. But am not really interested in software or coding stuff and I've been gng through these videos and suggestions abt management consulting and it interested me. Im ready to put long hrs and even learn more in smth am interested rather than the coding stuff which might be not as stressful as consulting but i still wanna do it so am thinking of dng a masters in management degree.... do u think if put good efforts and if i study in a good b school I'll be able to crack a nice paying job??? Coz the masters degree is gng to be a huge deal to me. I wanna be sure before even running it with my parents. What'd u think
I am grateful for the experience you share with us because it is really helpful but I think it would be more effective if you could slow down the speed with which you share - too frantic. Try doing it slower please 🌹🌹
