Let's discuss monarchism.

Welcome to The Monarchist Channel, a unique space where we probe into the complexities of monarchism from a global perspective. We look beyond the confines of a single country, royal dynasty, or monarchial tradition, and strive to capture the essence of the worldwide monarchist cause.

This channel is characterized by pan-monarchist approach. We uphold neutrality and avoid engaging in major dynastic disputes, instead promoting a sense of shared identity among all monarchists.

Our inclusive platform also extends a warm welcome to non-monarchists. We value the richness that diverse viewpoints bring to our discussions and encourage open, respectful debates that stimulate thought and challenge preconceptions.

No chance. Times have changed. People want more than what monarchy can offer. They want a say in the governmental process.

Can you give an example of the things you can have a say-in in Bulgaria and cannot have in Norway?

As an American myself, I would 100% support a monarchial movement in the US. I've grown tired of the constant infighting of the citizens based on political factions and the inability of the current government to make any kind of progress and the constant changing of policy by successor presidents. We need stability, and we should have a king.

Wrong. Democracy is better because a Monarch, surprise surprise is not above politics. First of all, a Monarch will have opinions, prejudices, biases, etc as much as anyone. But beyond that they still need to balance the budget and they have their own support base which they need to do stuff on their behalf. They can alienate that support base by going against it or not supporting it. Usually a small group of nobles, courtiers, ministers and priests. It's not formal like an election, but if push comes to shove they can deal with a troublesome monarch with a little regicide. Also Monarchies did not stand the test of time. Dynasties rose and fell, often in blood. But in particular monarchism as a concept has not been doing so hot from 1789 onward.

Many people dog on the idea of monarchy and though it can be corrupted I believe that with the proper rules set up, it can at least be avoided as much as possible. Monarchy done right can be the best realistic governmental system(my opinion) that we as humans through our faults can achieve. Communism only really works in small communities and not really in a large-scale situation it also has a habit of quick and terrible corruption, Democracy though quite popular is very easy to rig in today's time and like any government is subject to corruption. Monarchy can avoid corruption(as much as possible) through a constitution as well as a proper upbringing of the heirs. I think that Hungary once again being ruled by the Haburgs would be amazing and could help it out in many ways.

People often fail to see that king is nothing without his subjects like lords and nobles. So if monarchy would to be restored - then those should be as well.

Well, I’m Croatian and my great-great-grandfather was Franz Joseph (altho illegitimately). Does this make me a potential Croatian Queen? :D

@martinaudovicic7575 hi Martina, no. After the death of Prince Rudolf, throne skipped Franz Joseph’s daughters, and Rudolph’s daughter but it went to Archduke Franz Ferdinand, son of the younger brother of Franz Joseph. However, Archduke’s children too were not to succeed him as he married duchess Sophie which was morganatic marriage (unequal social rank), which is why the throne later passed to Emperor and King Blessed Karl. Archduke Franz Ferdinand children were not even given to belong to Habsburg dynasty, but to Hohenberg. Illegitimate children would not be considered for any succession. But they would often get titles. Can you share more about your family ancestry? Would be interesting.
