It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. amzwatch watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
Have to agree that if wearing this watch on your left hand you will experience the crown digging into the back of your hand. I now have a permanent scar due to this. One other thing is the bezel insert on earlier ones are not ceramic and scratch easily (these can be replaced, however not with a ceramic one but like for like). These are my only two gripes. All in all it’s from a stable renowned for making excellent Swiss timepieces since 1832. A good everyday watch, go for the automatic, you won’t be disappointed!
Thank you for this tutorial. Im loving the Nato strap on my watch. This threading method ensures that even if one spring bar fails, the watch will remain securely attached to the wearer's wrist.
Great, great, great watch. Without a doubt the best VFM out there. Tank-like construction and unbeatable movement. Just wish it was a tad bit smaller. At 41/42mm it would be perfect.
Just an update: I watched this video years ago and got to know Sinn. I own a Sinn 556i and a Sinn 104 pilot for a few years now and they will be forever part of my collection. The 556 makes an excellent tool/field watch; I swap between the H-link and multiple other military type or nato straps. With the 104, I have the H-link version, but prefer to wear it with a good leather band...with its bidirectional steel bezel, arabic dial and syringe hands....it feels incredibly historic! (forget about the cheap 'ol ceramic bezels!) Truly like a German flieger pilot watch. Both of these watches you could get used with the H-link for approximately $1200. Comes with top-grade COSC equivalent movements. I highly recommend it.
Mine arrived to today in the same packaging. I like it! I paid $244 for mine. If one is looking for a cheaper dive watch they should look at the Casio Duro which is nice but I like the Citizen better.
You are absolutely right you just fall in love with the SKX. I always find it funny when people say its spec isn’t upto par with today’s offerings. Well obviously this is an older classic diver now it’s like say a classic Ferrari just doesn’t stand up spec wise with a modern sports car. You don’t buy an SKX for the specs solely it’s for all the other characteristics that make it special. I’ve had my 007 and 009 for years on the super comfy stock jingle jangle jubilee. So glad I resisted the temptation to mod it like everyone was doing back in the day. I paid $180 for my 007 and $190 009 all from Long Island Watch. I now have a Breitling Colt 41, Rolex Explorer, Tudor BB58, Hamilton KK, Tissot Visodate and a few quartz Chronograph from Seiko and I can say there something very special about the wear , look , and feel of the SKX. It will never leave my collection.
Well done, this is too complicated for many. I tuck the tail end under instead of over at the end. It tidies it up nicely. This is how I wear my Hamilton Navy model, the NATO strap is a perfect complement to the watch.
New to your channel. I just inherited my first Rolex 16013 watch that's over 37 years old now from my father after he passed... No clue what it's worth. My father did wear this watch everywhere proudly. My stepmother made sure he saved the original receipt from 1986 where he purchased it.
Idk what case size I want. I like 43-44mm watches, but have heard these watches wear bigger then their size. What size wrist do you have? The 41mm looks great. Thanks, great video.
Thank you for posting this great review. 38mm is too small for your wrist? How large is your wrist because mine is 6-3/4” (17mm) and I feel it’s a bit too large as my perfect size is my 36mm Rolex Explorer 114270. It looks PERFECT on your wrist. I have the same strap. It will break in and soften after a few days.
Awesome collection. That first squale. There is no between the 79 and 80s. Haha, it’s one or the other! ❤ awesome watch though, small watches have never been an issue for me, oversized watches however, I just can’t wear. These midsize watch are great gifts for my wife who is also into watches. You can get these at amazing prices. Sometimes I live vicariously through her! That second squale….be still my beating heart!!!
