Hi, was curious about Planks, I've been doing 1 min elbow planks, but recently had my annual eye exam, showing my numbers elevated to 21 & 23; Wondering if staright arm planks would be better?

Amazing! What could be the other option apart from beta blockers that isn’t going to create issues on my eye style? Also, may I ask for a link to the study related to lower blood pressure and optic nerve damage? I want to challenge my glaucoma specialist with it.😊
Thank you, Doctor, for a very informative video on things to know and be aware of with those of us dealing with glaucoma… I was curious about the use of mushroom coffee and your thoughts on that in connection to coffee lovers… even though I do drink tea throughout the rest of the day… I just can’t seem to get away from at least one or two cups of the Java in the morning… loved riding in the car with you… thanks again for the lift… until next time…
I HAVE BEEN PERSCRIBED, *LUMIGAN *RHOPRESSA & *COMBAGAN, ALL W/ *BAD* SIDE AFFECTS; SERIOUS PAIN, EXTREME REDNESS, IN THE EYES & THE INFLAMED LIDS & WHOLE OUTER AREA OF MY (EYES) FACE. SO THE RX: TIMOLO & LATANOPROST IS WHAT THE DR. HAS FOR ME. THE PRESSURE STILL IS @ TIMES> 18 & @ TIMES> 22. SO????? I DON'T WANT SURGERY. I WAS TOLD THAT, CATARACT SURGERY WOULD ? RELEAVE PRESSUR??? I DON'T HAVE MUCH OF, CATARACTS @ THIS STAG OF LIFE, SO??? **** THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!! Do take care. Fl.
I have normal tension glaucoma which is steroid responsive. I tried this out. The hyperemia was outrageous. I got and still have some hemorrhages. I looked like a monster. Which was a damn shame as my pressure reduction was significant. I’m fairly young (56) and honestly, it was vanity that made me get off. I’ve undergone one viscocanulostomy with great results. I wish I had not been so red…I would have stayed on it. Thanks for your videos. My eye doctors really appreciate how informed I am and it’s because of you and others like you. Keep up the good work.
Really useful information, thank you. The fact that companies can charge horrendous amounts at obscene profit margins when there's no competition is just vile.
I don't know if you are still looking at the comments on these videos, but could placement of an IOL in the anterior chamber of the eye (due to weak zonules) eventually result in chronic narrow angle closure? I read about antihistamines a bit late, after my eye pressure went up too high in one eye when my eyes were dilated. I also just learned about water. I drank a lot of water fast right before my eyes were dilated. These videos are helpful to avoid such problems.
I love (mostly) kale and collards (somewhat), prepared like spinach, with a dash of vinegar or lemon juice. I add it as much as possible to my hot dishes (even in spaghetti and burritos). I'm grateful for the time you carve out of your day for your viewers! May many blessings continue to find you 💙🙏💙
A great video which clearly and concisely explains the risks. As someone with early cataracts(3yrs), but also early borderline glaucoma (3yrs), pseudoexfoliation (3yrs), Fuch's (6months), and and an epirentinal membrane OS, I am absolutely terrified of all the potential complications of cataract surgery. Thank you so much for putting this together!
Is all this just information based on pilocarpine drops? I was prescribed pilocarpine to help with dry mouth/eye symptoms. Should I be concerned of doing damage to my eyes
Been on latanoprost for 3-4 years. Doc says pressure went up - was 14 now 20 - so last week started me on B&L .2% generic brimonidine; after 3 days experiecing itching, discharge and pain around the eyes. Have not called Dr. yet they are a large chain clinic always too busy. So far reading and watching videos there does not appear to be alternatives but the info about less dosage and preservatives is helpful. Thanks for the careful walk through.
Thank you so much and please continue. I've failed laser treatment and about 7 medications so far for my glaucoma. Trying the 8th now. After doing my own research, I revamped my diet which is now full of fresh fruits and vegetables (and no processed foods), meditate an hour a day, exercise to my capacity, including using a mini trampoline (said to improve blood flow to the optic nerve), and take gingko (said to improve peripheral vision). We'll see how my eyes do. I certainly feel better systemically. I already have a blind spot in the central vision of one eye and I sort of feel like it's improving.... I would really love any other suggestions you might have for things I could try, to help keep my vision.
Personally, compared to this video my floaters are not that active,i only get see these things when my eyes and mind want to focus on them and ussualy i only notice them when i stare at the sky and rarely at the wall
Thanks Dr. Richardson. I have watched and learnt from many of your programs. I am a Board Certified Internist and after 45 years practice I consider myself " a doctor's doctor". What you teach is very pertinent to today's medicine which is unnecessarily speciacialized. I have open angle glaucoma and lost partial visual loss OS. I have had laser procedure 2 months ago and pressure still not normal. I shall tell my ophthalmologist tomorrow about your above video. I live in San Mateo and will contact your office for an appmnt.
Greetings n a big thank you from Sarawak, East Makaysia. Dr Richardson, love your unique way of communicating with us. None of the eye doctors i come accross talk about a wholelistic approach in glaucoma treatment other than lowering IOP of glaucoma patients. Looking foreward to more your updates .
My doctor prescribed Xalatan because my eye pressure and a family history as a preventative measure, but when I used the drops my blood pressure would go through the roof. (140/95). He wouldn’t address the problem so I stop and my blood retired to normal (115/70). Thank you for this information.
I’m curious of all the channels regarding glaucoma .I’m reading lot of people who state they have glaucoma in the left eye. I have ocular hypertension on my left eye. Is there any research on this or is this just a coincidence ?
Good intell Exercise is grest for many paths, have noticed the past decade fighting this disease,.when I do strength train I always keep the head above the heart and don't strain nor squint my face. Focus on the muscle group and relax the other body portions
Appreciate the video, but next time do it sitting in front of your desk or something on that order. Watching somebody bouncing around in their car, looking left and right as you're driving which does not make any sense to me, and sounding like you're in an echo chamber is not the way to do a video. Just some constructive criticism. Thanks Dan
