The hints that EOE and 2 final eps aren't the same 1. Shinji choked Asuka To KILL her- he still resent her for rejecting him (if he wanted to check she was real he would have talked to her first). 2. During the choke, the screen showed the destruction scene caused by the Third impact (with sad music) 3. The transition screen said : ONE MORE FINAL 4. The reaction of Asuka to the choke is based on a real experience of Anno's friend being choked by a stranger - " as he choked me i had a strange feeling of caring his face" that means Asuka didn't open her heart for Shinji at all, just a genuine reaction to the choke 5. The movie ended abruptly with Asuka saying one word: disgusting! and Shinji crying. No music, no joyful, no inspiring statement, no indication that other characters rejected Human Intrumentality, not even credit scrolling, just a word : the end/finnish. This is clearly a bad ending!
I saw a video that explain the 2 final eps and EOE aren't the same ending. Parts of EOE was intended to be the Original ending though, if you believe 2 endings are the same, then it won't make sense that Asuka (real or just his perception of her) congrated Shinji just to be strangled by him ( he was clearly trying to kill her if he had wanted to see Asuka was real or not he would have talked to her or kick her wounded arm). Anno changed the ending completely because he again felt into depression cause by the haters who disliked the original ending. It was meant to sent a stronger message: " abandon escapism now or it would be too late just like Shinji ( he didn't change that much and the world was doomed anyway)
There's a part of me that honestly thinks reading Berserk should be mandatory for all legal adults. Too many adults nowadays are stuck being children, some even reaching a point analogous to Rosine.
I don't know if you have skipped a part on the manga but Bondrewd had this ancient relic that saves his conciseness to his mask his wearing and if someone wears that mask his conciseness geta transfered to the wearer and btw those associates of Bondrewd's well some of them are just field experiments and lobotomized criminals used by him
Really cool story and world building. Unfortunate that the author seems to be a weirdo pedo. Low key feels like bondrew is inspired by how the author thinks about himself
Bondrewd doesn't have a conscience, period. He acts the way he does because that's what he "thinks" people should do, how they "act" and "react." He's what you get when you make your AI focus on "the mission" first while at the same time teaching it "love" secondary to "the mission."
Um sorry no whichever villain you're talking about they don't compare to Katja there is no character in any anime or Manga you could ever find that's worse than her.
Bondrewd is unironically not really seen as a villain in-universe. Everyone questions his methods, and he's quite literally lost himself over time, but he has made untold progress within The Abyss.. and at the depths he works at, you can't worry about being nice. If anything, he's a saint compared to what lies below. He's such an interesting character to me. Same with characters like Wazukyan. He's seen as despicable, but really he did what he had to do. He's a hero who created a tragedy to avoid complete annihilation. I really gotta catch up with the manga. As I'm reading physical volumes, I sometimes forget to buy the new ones as they come out.
