Davy looks so young and gorgeous here 🥰 and I love how he admitted that he had a beautiful face. I’m sure he would have LOVED my latest creation “I Want To See A Rainbow” “I Want To See A Rainbow” follows the life of Tressa, a troubled teenager who lives in an old house in the middle of a rainforest, but she’s not alone. She has her friends that follow the pattern “ROYGBIV” Ray, the red dragon Toyler, the orange orangutan Angel, the yellow cat Chroma, the green iguana Boris, the blue hog Gina, the indigo poodle And Violet, the Violet goat Every morning, they have seaweed for breakfast (cause they live in the rainforest) and go outside to play in the rain. Every night, Tressa dreams of being part of the rainbow. But when she wakes up, she’s back in grey. Eventually, Tressa realizes that her life is more than just rainy days and cloudy skies. She finds out that she has no color outside, but lots of color on the inside! Do you think The Monkees would have liked my fascinating creation “I Want To See A Rainbow”? Let me know!
Always was a shame they got stuck with this one great composition when in reality all they did was this good but the dummies running radio back then only played this one tune & the album smokes as hot as they did. Some 8 or nine albums & this was pretty much the only track they would play, These guys deserved much better even though they did have stellar career & everyone knows this song. Never did get to see them but i did see Chicago twice in the early 70s with Terry Kath before we lost him. 🎷🎺🎸🔥
She had that star quality right from the start. She didn’t have the most powerful voice but she had a unique soothing tone, a great vibrato and masterful phrasing.
Davy should’ve lit up a cigarette and start playing around with everyone by going like “oh, there it is!” And then take another drag and blow smoke into the camera and then look at us and say “Winston, folks” and I wish the interview was longer, so he could talk about how much he loved looking beautiful as he did French inhales and ghosts, and beautifully exhaling large clouds of smoke. Later on, as he started filling the room with his beautiful exhales, he would say “Oh man, **sniff** it’s getting really smoky in here now, and look at my cigarette!” And he would show us the long ash on his cigarette. He would then just smile and put the cigarette in his mouth and leave it in there, and just start dangling it at his lips, then he’d blow smoke into Mike’s face, and then Mike would start coughing from the smoke, and then he’d light up his OWN cigarette, but it would be on an upper and downer (if you know what I mean) Mike would smoke his cigarette so sophisticatedly and Davy would give a cigarette to Peter so he could also smoke, and all The Monkees would be smoking, on tv! Just gorgeous 😍
I Honestly Love You was the first song I ever heard by her. It was sung with such sincerity that I actually thought she was some new singer-songwriter on the scene.
Wow Olivia you really make me fly with that song singing to ME! Got tears knowing you left us and now you are our angel. How simple and powerful lyrics that make me fly (and cry) of happiness and a bit of sadness but we all will remember you with LOVE 💖
First year of university. In our class the ladies had no consensus on who their favorite male singer was. They were all over the map. The guys were unanimous in who their favorite female singer was. No debate. OLN.
You know you may have listened to an album a few times when you haven't heard a song in over 20 years and still remember it word for word. They had no idea how iconic and important this sweet young thing from Australia was going to be.
For that record, The Monkees ran on Saturday Mornings when reruns originally aired on CBS from Sept 13, 1969-Sept 2, 1972 and on ABC from Sept 9, 1972-Sept 1, 1973.
Umm… I remember this too. Those who remember it fondly, have you taken a closer look and listen? It’s child programming alright. MK Ultra style. Wakey, wakey!
Julie galioto is (was) my mom. Sadly she passed in 1998 . My mom helped organize the reunion tour as well. She dyed Davie Jones hair and I remember answering the phone for mom and coco dolenz (mickey dolenz mom) was on the other end. Such a long long time ago..
