Dude! The 2600! If I had a dollar for every hour we played that thing I could retire! My best friend's mom (who was an out-of-doors fanatic) used to come unglued & beg us (repeatedly) to 'GO OUT!!! Its beautiful out!' Pity it was the days before laptops! We'd have just taken it with us!

Wow this brings back memories. However I do remember when I was little in 1976, Channel 56 used to air Dark Shadows at 11pm every weeknight. Tom Evans in 1976 used to do the station going off the air speech every night around 1am I think. It was followed by The Star Spangled Banner with clips of mountains, rivers and trees.

Is this Triad area (Winston Salem/Greensboro/High Point) NC footage? We have WLVI, channel 56. Also WXII (ch 12) and WXLV (ch 45). Always thought it weird the channel call letters were their roman numeral equivalents. :-) Good stuff.
