Very nice Montage. And awesome job on filling your deer and elk tags. I just turned 60 years old and there’s a few struggles. I just had trigger thumb surgery. Years hard work. But before that in eastern Oregon in September I got a big forked horn mule deer with my bow.
Awesome video! You're so right about how the simplest things can make a great film.. I've grown up here for 30yrs and you captured so much beauty that I often overlook as it's not "new" to me anymore!!
You know what makes antlers look really good? 2 things. 1 get a bowl, make some coffee, pour a couple cups of dry coffee grounds and the wet grounds and the coffee that you just made into the bowl and mix it all up into a not too soupy mix. Put on rubber gloves, and rub it all over where you want. If you want it darker, use another coat of coffee rub. Then hit it with either satin or flat poly spray. Better look than any paint or anything else. An old Trapper- hunter-taxidermist taught me that trick. Turns chalk antler into brand new. You can't tell.
Question for you. I have a bear skull from 2017 that is really greasy still if I were to do that aqua silk would it whiten it up or is it already to far gone since it’s been 7 years ??
I’m real squeamish but I love vulture culture and taxidermy- and recently found a whole dead bird that I wanna keep the skeleton of- this video was both great and also hard to watch lol 😭
