Great video!! Great way to honor an old boy. I live on a hunting ranch in West Texas and anytime my husband and I find something we want to keep that died out here, we just wire it to our fence posts around the house. Once it’s been picked clean and the West Texas sun has done its job, we boil it once in a similar fashion and pressure wash it. We typically have to do a bit of restoration on the horns but not much. We use mop and glo also! Great trick! They always come out pretty dang white and never a problem with smell or bugs. Great job!

@@isaactrujillo76 no it’s not The proper acronym in plumbing literature is HWT (Hot Water Tank) google it Having HWT distinguishes it on purpose and is the proper way to describe it without causing confusion. Its a redundant name due to the fact you can have many tanks in your mech room like glycol storage tanks, soft water brine tanks, expansion tanks, pressure building tanks or supplemental hot water holding tanks to name a few. As well as multiple ways to heat your water. Is it an on demand system or boiler / condensing boiler system? “Water Heater” means nothing

I recently experimented with three separate environments for maceration for three deer skulls. Control subject was kept submerged in water full time in a tote (water changes as needed) The second skull was buried in a shallow sand/clay hole, and covered with a tote. The third was left unsupervised in a low woodland swamp (no tote) all were left for 1 year 2 months and the results are interesting. Subject 1 is brilliant white with little grease left, Subject two took on a deep rust orange color but otherwise clean. Subject three was yellowed white on the bottom, but green with algae and moss on the crown.

At first I was like "oh he's sitting on top of his live cow, he probably just means that he's cleaning the cow's horns when he says he's cleaning it's skull" and then I realised he meant it literally, glad he lived a good life tho

When I was cleaning my goat skull I used something called lemon bleach and water I left it for a couple days in a bucket and it was nice and white no oil no flaking just a suggestion you could maybe try up to you. Love ur videos and hope you have a good day/night and stay safe👍😁

I wonder how quick bugs and animals would pick that clean if left out in a field
