Just a tip I’m in Fl & also work on shed s from cow pasture & when I go to Colorado every year i pick up everything, I take cotton balls & rub in , before it dries I wipe off with a cotton shirt, then work in with a brass brush & man it comes out really good & if needed go darker with the same procedure, love yr crown mounts & my customers approval
And he says he is not so good at this sort of thing......man that turned out beeeuuutifulll! I have a few horns laying around that I will have to try a bit of restoration on! Thanks for the inspiration Ryan! Mike in hot + sunny Florida
Thank you for creating such informative content. I enjoy watching every video. It has helped me to do my own skulls and euros. I just finished doing a restoration yesterday on my first elk. After watching this video. It turned out amazing.
love your work, you taught me so much, i use bri-wax Tutor Brown. Works really well on older Antlers, so forgiving. Stain soaks to fast on old Bone. Wax soaks slowly and you can work it or Light it up and make liquid for it to be more affective. I have never used stain, i use mop and glow to seal it, i learned from you
Have you tried potassium permanganate. You add a very small amount of the powder to water and just paint it on. It’s very purple on application but turns brown. Try it out and see what you think
Yo man, love the video. My pet leopard gecko just passed away and I'd like to clean his skull like you do, but I'm worried his entire skull will just fall apart because of how delicate a leopard geckos skull is due to the size, how would you clean a skull so small and delicate with limited resources? I have no power washer or a way to boil it without doing it indoors which I can't do
