i was thinking about doing this but putting my vacuum lid which contains the motor and everything on a trash bin so i can just dump the wood chip at the trash canister.
making one of these tomorrow when I get to the workshop. Thanks for the simple tutorial, I will be using this idea to make one for a project I hope to finish sometime soon.
Such a great video! Thank you for sharing! I have a few questions. Do you use Paint 3D, Paint Universal, or another version? What size font are you using for your template in this project? I think that is all! lol
The author does like to from scratch, ru-vid.comUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
I made this jig using your plans over 4 years ago and just pulled it out again to use this week. It is a simple but effective design. I ran across this video that I saw years ago and had to watch again. :)
If you add 2nd 7 1/4 x 13 piece to the open end of the jig you could then use a feather board to keep the jig stable to the table saw fence good presentation I would glue the V together as well as screw then to protect my $90 saw blades I would remove the screws the next day. As long as the sides are screwed to the 90 degree V you can easily replace the working portion of the jig when running out of zero cut spots on the jig
The first half of the ru-vid.comUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ru-vid.comUgkxkNYRBJuiJ6EwD-tQSAlxg0eFKsnR2cgz I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.

It's called a jointer, not a joiner. because it is used to make joints. It is interesting in your description you say jointer. In the video you say joiner.
I just made one for my Ridgid saw pretty much from your plan. All of mine was from reclaimed wood and with a few modifications of my own. Turned out perfect for my needs. Thanks for the excellent plan.
