Why didn't you just square the sled backboard to your fence with the square instead of the edge of the sled ?

Oh shit....I mean crap lol. I would strongly suggest you glue a piece of wood at the very front of the sled so the blade can get buried when you push your sled through to make a cut...just a suggestion. Nice build. What part of Illinois are you from?

Haha the safety block is always a good addition. I'm from the Edwardsville area near St. Louis.

Keep up the work man! As a young guy that just recently got into wood working, i appreciate your content haha. Its nice to see someone else who kinda just builds, instead of trying to be super "scientific and neat"

Jackson Greene haha that's great to hear. I'm trying to appeal to the young casual woodworkers because i was there not too long ago. I get turned off by all the technicalities and talk of fine woodworking. I believe that there is a time and place for it, but not on most projects the average guys like us do haha. Keep it simple, but keep it quality. Don't get lost in the world of big brand names and wood science.

If you don't have pennies, use a couple of dimes. BTW what happened to your pennies?

I started watching your videos yesterday. I enjoy them because they are practical. Nothing fancy or elaborate. I am getting into woodworking myself. Purchased the same table saw as yourself off of Craigslist. I love it. Now I have an idea for a sled. Also I live in Missouri in a small town called Owensville. lol

Jacob Brown haha never heard of Owensville, but hey neighbor! I thank you for the compliment. I'm trying to cut out all the pointless dialogue, common sense stuff, long tool using scenes, and fine woodworking lingo. There aren't enough average-Joe-type youtubers out there that tell it like it is. This saw is so nice compared to small jobsite saws. Didn't realize what i was missing until I got it.
