I minored in art history and knew of Andy Warhols shooting, but did not know the details to this extent of Valery’s lore, as well as Warhol being a huge POS, artists are usually revered in art history and don’t talk abt this stuff, absolutely love the short form vid pls make more ! I like these insane people. Mental gymnastics and extremes these people make are crazy and I'm saddened she wasn't more sane. Her play Up Your soubds great but probably too preachy on misogynistic Bobs. I'm still really interested in reading it through. I also like her thinking the Mob was preventing people from reading anything she wrote instead of maybe radically talking about crazy psychological theories which alienate not only half of the population but anyone who isn't crazy wasn't a good move. I love the vanity in appreciating her own work like that. Shame she never got help. She'd be another feminist writer only female college students would read instead of someone we talk about now. Still, Andy deserved that. I mean, he made the homeless and the desperate do anything from having sex with one another to doing unhinged performances for free

In another world, Andy Warhol and Valerie Solanas would have matched each others freak. Two insufferable, pathetic, insecure obsessed, vain people whose paranoia and overblown egos made them the freaks among freaks. Andy, you would have loved Tiktok. Valerie, you would have loved femcels.
I wish she had suceeded Solanas was a genuinely really interesting character and i think scum manifesto, though obviously a work of over-the-top hatred, is useful
This is one of those stories where I hate basically everyone involved, but the thing I hated the most is that this insane woman's delusions were actually correct, and she really did become a famous icon for shooting some men. It's sad that her insane book had any success at all.
