Boscombe Down collection looked really interesting. My Dad worked at Boscombe Down as an engine fitter back in the late 60's early 70's after he had left the RAF. Will definitely visit.
That bird which flew off was I think a Cattle Egret, which IS a member of the Heron Family. You know, I could almost get to the Salisbury area if I put my mind to it. Probably wouldn't camp tho'😉
Ahh yes, and Egret sounds right. Herons tend to be bigger I think. It's a fair trek from Cornwall but probably not too bad if you have a B&B or something.
Awesome flashback, it was a cracking ride down there and so amazing seeing the northern lights. Damn, you missed a trick for part 2 not having your Star Wars helmet! 😀
It was a cracker of a weekend mate, great that you made it up for it. That Triumph even on road tyres is very impressive, especially where you stopped when the rider in front dropped it, that grass and camber were sketchy! You'll have to do the expert hill climb next year! 😀 I'm gonna be ordering my tickets for 2025 as soon as I can afford them.
Your video really showed off one of the criticisms Hippo-Drones had in his video: people completing the trail being routed onto the same entrance as people checking in. Beautiful looking area, I enjoyed watching the trail ride.
I'm so glad I did the trial (3rd time) on Saturday when I did. It was waaaay less busy when I did. I did test ride/ drive during the day instead. Some complete tossers there though. Pressuring people, passing close.
My 3rd trail was cut short about half way round due to an incident. I had the choice of waiting for it to re-open or take the road way back to site. It was quite hot at this point so decided on returning to camp.
They went easy on us this year, where they had all those massive stones. Last year (apart from Sunday I think) there was no track there, you had to forge ya own. 18:51 I'm trying to see what bike is that, and what colour helmet, as I see hi-vis and sat down. That's what I was wearing and doing hahaha. Was similar time, as, I went past that ambulance as well, and had to fight my way through that hell traffic of the peasants, I mean, standard weekend tickets. They ended up closing the very last bit and making ya exit at the fence near the entrance of exhibitor trial. It's a great event tbh. If it rains, and grounds soaked, the trial stays open for the mad people. We've been majority lucky past 2 years. Only rained in night once, and never in day. That grass is slick as anything in the wet. I'm looking at going next year as well. Can't get the loyalty tickets, as funds wont allow me. The Mrs might be tagging a long next year as well.
Wahey!..hope the test ride went well and look forward to seeing it back on the lanes!..sorry to hear about the redundancy and hope you find something else soon mate, rsmf, Mark
I just bought this helmet and couldn't figure out why there was no side camera mounts. Thanks for clarifying that the carbon model doesn't have them despite their website listing same.
Nearing 100k miles??? I thought 50k was high mileage for a sports bike. There’s one from 92 in my city with 53k. Owner says it’s good condition. I discarded it because I thought it was too many miles but if it’s still viable then i might just reconsider it.
I guess for most people, 50k miles is a lot for a bike that would generally be used throughout the summer. I was using my GPZ all year round. With regular use and servicing, a high mileage bike shouldn't be too much of a cause for concern. I'd sooner go for a high mileage one with service history to back it up over something that has low miles but has been sat garaged for long periods of time.
I just got this camera. I use 1080p/60 with stabilisation. Do you know how to get date/time stamp to show? It seems to ignore when I set it on the camera with by the drift life app.
It's a bit fiddly but I'm sure you should be able to set it manually via the camera menu using the buttons. I've known the app to not always apply all of the settings that you select, or sometimes changing one setting will also change something else.
I can relate to having a backlog of videos and not being able to update my Macbook! 🤣 Looked like some lovely roads to ride through there, love the tree tunnels here and there. What a pain in the bum! What a huge mission to get him home!
Just an update buddy, im sure your missing the ol gal. A year on and 3000 miles in. I've treated it to a valve clearance check, chain and sprockets, filter, oil, front exhaust gasket was blowing, local repair garage for the total sum of £400. And today i fitted a new pair of £220 Black widow silencers. I like it so much I decided to get it sorted. Touring Wales shortly on it.👍
That's great to hear, nice one. I bet it sounds mean with the Black Widows. I checked on my old one the other day, looks like it's still going :) Good luck with the tour!
this helmet touches my chin, is that a problem for anyone else? I really really like the design but damn I'll be pissed if it actually isn't designed for my head shape
Ridiculous dealership expensive service for major tune up. Chain drive instead of belt drive. Dirty and expensive. Shim under bucket valve adjustment is a money 🤑💰 maker for the dealers. Warranty claims as well as downtime waiting for parts. Expensive and heavy 🪨.Not made in England.
Is it significantly louder than stock exhaust? I am considering buying it myself, but dont want to get tired on longer trips due to noise. Should be easy to install baffles?
It is quite a bit louder than stock for sure. I’ve not done any long trips yet, but so far as long as I’ve got my ear plugs in I don’t have a problem with the noise. I think I saw they have done a new version now which comes with removable baffles.
@@OverEntusiast ahh, well hopefully they will do one for the 900 soon. I guess you can fit some universal baffles further into the end of the pipes and drill a hole to line up with the securing lug to hold them in place but seems a shame to drill them.
Sí, los tubos de escape del VW Beetle funcionan en el modelo Triumph Scrambler con motor de 865 cc. No encajan en el modelo más nuevo Triumph Street Scrambler 900.
My own built comms sounded 1000% better than this Bluetooth thing! Wow this is bad. I didn't expect. I wanted to buy a Sena or Cardo but man... Hardly believe it's this bad at higher speeds. I like all luxury feature though, like voice dial etc
that happened to me last year on the way up to the Wild Weekend, we pulled in under a bridge , changed , and by the time we set off again the sun came out !!!!
Bad review. And doesn't even look into the camera. Just at himself in the live view. And who makes a motor biker review that doesn't own a bike!!!! WTF!
