This channel is for educational purpose for those in the towing and recovery industry. We will cover all towing and recovery techniques, business advice and day to day tow operations. My purpose with this channel is to bring more professionalism to the industry.
You've been in business long enough to know you have to work with some crazy people. It's too bad it has to be this way. I use my rollback for personal use but I do want to help my friends and neighbors. I need to protect myself better i guess.
Been with agero from the start. Like 9 years. As long you got the pictures and why you get paid. 98% of it don't talk to a person or chat. All description box. Maybe 4% is with a person. They even pay for oil clean ups on your truck from the car. Video it and pictures. If I do sign up with a motor club they have to beat agero ways or no go
They should not penalize you for going to da a battery jump and the problem turns out to be an alternator or starter. For starters their rates to be competitive are way too low. Also every time you call the Advocate Group with an issue its like they are reading a script. I want to talk to someone that can identify the issue and somebody investigate it. There are so many more issues i could bring up.
You are 100% with being penalized for a jump start. Rates are low especially for new providers, if providers would not undercut, this would not be an issue. Agero monitors this channel, post your issues so they can see. I tell providers all the time , if we are not vocal, than issues will not be addressed. A few months ago they did away with there provider live job hotline. Well , enough of us complained and they bought it back. Thanks for watching
I am signed up with them for soft roadside services only. The digital dispatches have all been fine no issues there. It’s when they call for a tow or winch and I tell them I don’t have those services, I see on my portal it counts against me on the acceptance rate. I am a one man operation and it really hurts my volume.
You can do a rate review - Fill in your current pricing for soft services and fill in N/A for the rest of explain in the form that you do not have a tow truck.
Overall Agero has been good and can’t complain too much. Something things I will note they could do better: 1. Constantly re-sending same job after rejecting it. This goes against your acceptance when you reject the same offer 3 times. 2. Unable to get rid of tire change offers. We do not do tire changes. It is a too much of a liability with condition of lugs, spare and safety while doing the change. 3. Stats are great to see how you can earn more jobs, however, when you use the rate slider there is no explanation of what all is included in that. Avg tow price + avg add on charges? It is not hook only… Need to narrow that in better. If I could increase volume by 10% by dropping my hook $5 maybe I would do that but there is no explanation.
One of the most annoying things is the constant sending of the same job, especially in the evening when I'm trying to sleep! I appreciate you commenting. I am sure they will see this.
@@towuniverse2443 I’m in Michigan. Half the vehicles are aged with swollen lugs that you have to beat the socket on. Spare tires that haven’t been checked (or lowered) for years. Those lowering mechanisms are trashed with rust, then you are cutting the cable.
How many trucks are you currently running? I just finished building my first truck looking forward to starting on the next with the knowledge I have now I should be a smoother process. Lots of lessons learned.
There a couple of points in your video that are not correct and yes i have truck in a box and i have 2 other trucks i own out right 1. U have to put a down payment 2 ur pay goes higher than 150 3. U do 4 pick ups a day and after ur 4 u can do what wver 4 if ur truck is down a long time u call head person of tib and he will help u out if ur truck is down they dont ask for the payment 5 truck in a box is what u make it if u want hustle u will make the money
I agree with ya. Agero has their ish together. Good rates. Allied, Gerber and All State are still decent for me. There are some scary ones like 24 Hours Group. Super low quality.
One of my main concerns, is that they continue to penalize you because you cannot fulfill "ALL" the offers they send you without taking into regards that you are a one man operation!
I’ve had to train myself with RU-vid. Bout to do wreckmaster and start my own business. Just want to make sure I’m up and up and not just cowboying it. PS. I’m about to marry my county admins assistant so getting on rotations is gonna be noooo problem.
Honk burnt for us 6500 the paid us to get vehicle out of the impound lot filed a charge back the next day which is friendly charge back fraud so becareful take only cash from them
Congrats brother I’m really proud of you , I’ve been watching your journey since on-site towing days … I own the valcan 894 12 ton wrecker and I remember I didn’t know where to start or get motivated from but when I ran across your channel that’s what motivated me now I’m trying to work my way up to a flat bed .. & u right hard work do pay off ..God bless you brother 🙏🏾💙💯
So what wound up happening? You can't really sue the customer, they never had any promise to pay that would be a waste of money specially if you never send the customer a notice to pay if you just sue them and they had no way of knowing a debt was owed is another way things get thrown out of court... @6:50 "FILE A CONSUMER COMPLAINT" It would probably help if you understood what "consumer" means, you really need legal representation. A "consumer" isn't legally defined as a business. The simple definition of "consumer" is "a person who purchases goods and services for personal use." which is the opposite of a business. @7:52 agero is NOT an insurance company, the do not offer any kind of insurance, insurance companies hire agero to service their roadside plans but agero isn't insurance. LOL "auto insurance, GAP", your complaint went to the wrong dept that is only for consumers and not businesses to lodge complaints.... You really should just get an attorney to help you, if I were owed thousands I would. I'd like to see the research about this happening to "thousands" of service providers, kinda sounds like an exaggeration "thousands". I can see why there isn't an update to this video. agero has one call center now btw, they closed the others, this happened like 2-3 years ago, they did have 4 at one point.
honk p[aid me into the wrong account and wont pay me the 13000 they owe me worst company in the towing field . they really went down in quality in the last five years .. how to kill a company from the inside out. Dont pay the people who actually do the work while they pad the seats of the corporate offices. top heavy company that will fail
