“Exactly the camera-lens combination I was looking for. It’s good to see that what I suspected actually works, even if not all lenses are listed in the compatible lenses list. It would be super exciting for me to find out how the Sigma 10-18 2.8 works.”
This is very useful thank you! Is it possible to do an updated version including Viltrox 75mm ? I am deciding between 56mm and 75mm and it would be really useful for me. Thanks again
how!!!! i just bought my ricoh gr 3 because of your video, and i cant get that sharp crisp image from my camera, could you please please share your stting in more detail?
Thanks for the great video. Have you noticed the levels of your metering tools changing while adjusting your brightness or contrast on the monitor itself? Not sure if I have a faulty unit or not but mine suffers from this issue. Waveform, false color, histogram shift up and down while adjusting brightness/contrast. Can't judge exposure reliably this way!!
This is no doubt one of my favorite videos on your channel, very inspiring set of photos and the color is impeccable. Keep up the good work. Go buy his presets, guys!
Thanks very helpful, I am using "ZV-E10" want to shoot video like podcast and walk & talk interviews & Video byte from 5-7 feet which lens is better in Three of them. Please suggest
Lazy and convenience sums about it right why this lens would sell. I am shooting with 16mm, 30mm and 56mm prime often, and God knows how you wishes that you don't have to disrupt the shoot flows cuz you felt the concept you want is better at 30mm instead of 16mm.
I have the sigma 16mm and then the zve10 kit lens. I do video and photo as a hobby, and also for my RU-vid channel. I’m going on vacation and want to get a second lens to have some versatility. I’m mainly going to shoot architecture and people. What would be the best prime lens to get to complement the 16mm?
Totally agree with you on the APSC vs Full frame keynote.....unless you are relying on it for your livelihood no brainer to go with the less expensive/lightweight ecosystem.
Hello Stuart! Some fantastic content there on your channel! I am purchasing a Sony A6700 mostly for Video, travel and some dance shoots of my partner. I am upgrading from the Sony A6400 and have concerns with using Sigma lenses for video as they don't have stabilization. I am torn between the Sony 50 F1.8 OSS and the Sigma 56 F1.4, buying mostly for video. From your usage is the IBIS on the Sony A6700 good enough to manage the micro jitters with the Sigma 56 F1.4 ?? I am concerned mostly for 24/30 fps 4k video, where I wont have the luxury of slowing down the video to remove the shakes unlike the 60 fps.
Great video. I'm interested to know if you used these filters in conjunction with an ND filter? If so, does the outside thread match the same diameter of the inside thread?
I had similar experience with the X100F AF and sharpness. I thought the new lens on the V and VI is much better, but that is clearly not the case. I still have the X100VI on preorder, but having second thoughts... The problem is that there are a few things I do not like on the ricoh either ... so it is more like: neither of these cameras is the right fit for me...
Very good video. In terms of quality, I think the 18-50 is the best of all. As I find it so difficult to choose, I have a question: as the 18-50 is so great, I don't really understand why you should even get a 16, 30 or 56mm lens? What disadvantage does the 18-50mm have for someone?
the 2.8 zoom lens gives rather low quality pictures compared to the prime. but you get the advantage of being able to shoot at different focal lengths. for a photographer, its best to have both a zoom and a prime lens
@@cheapbongs OK, so my situation: I rarely film, 1-2 times in 3 months and then 90% of the time at home, directly in front of the camera, otherwise I'm outside vlogging. I'm now switching from the Lumix GH5 with Metabones SB and Sigma 18-35 F1.8 to Sony, my plan is to switch to the ZV E10, so the Sigma 18-50 is the best choice, I would think, right?
@@iceman-elektrischunterwegs3099 yea i agree the sigma 18-50 is an excellent choice for filming! i have the 18-50 on my sony alpha with a black mist filter and it produces amazing footage.
Interesting. The Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 makes your person or object look taller if someone wants to look taller vs the primes but the primes look so much sharper aswell.
Do you really have to curse while making a video, like a thug. Have some class, jeez, young people watch these videos. The 16mm is a vlogging lens, not a portrait lens. Learn something about photography. The 16mm has sold the most of the three Sigma lenses.
