Having listened to the full "The Silver Scene" EP, I like the songs a lot, especially "Tonight" and "Sleep Away Your Dreams", and they are all quite memorable and have nice structure variations. Commercially, however, it seems like it falls into the perceived pitfalls of "The Beautiful and the Damned" except even more so. "Sleep Away Your Dreams" has a violin playing, "She Loves You" has a piano, guitar, and bass playing at some points, the vocal harmonies seem to be everywhere as song components, how did they even replicate playing much of this live? I'm confused at how this issue of live vs studio discussed as an issue for Lash in the documentary and then seemed to not be considered for the production of the songs Belinda and Jessicca wrote here. I could definitely see the songs sounding good live (and wish I had the chance to), but I think those issues are what the record companies heard in the songs and that's why they were so hesitant to sign Belinda again. Maybe it would have been better if the songs just sounded like "different versions of Beatles songs", or maybe some style that sounded something like Tom Petty or even Pink Floyd with usage of keyboards and some vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation. but I think the songs are a bit overdone to be commercial.
Dissappointing that her husband decided to creamate and keep her in a box up in a closet. She should have had a huge memorial dedicated to her great work as a magnificent contributor to the music industry and honor her great writing. Sad. Famous people should never be creamated first of all. She was brilliant and a beautiful icon and a huge contributor to the industry as a whole.
Me resulta intimidante la fuerza interpretativa de chrissy, ella era capaz de convertirse en lo que sea que requiriera la obra musical que estuviera interpretando, un monstruo, sin palabras.....
I had the pleasure of seeing the Divinyls live in a pub in Toowoomba in 1988 . It was the best night off my life. Chrissy RIP during the song I Touch Myself she pissed on the crowd in the front of the stage. I was one of those at the front. Again what a night
A year later in 2024 i hope Rick is still doing what he loves, playing rock n roll with the Hoodoo Gurus , wish I could join them, if they are still at it !, I once had the pleasure of working with them, in Bunbury Western Australia, a great bunch of guys/musicians , they were an absolute pleasure to work with, and a top notch bunch of blokes ! :) , rock on guys :).
Oh my heart when she said, "i even Love myself some days" 😭💔❤️❤️ RIP you amazing Woman. Thank you for your great, unique music.. There will never be another you. ❤️🎶❤️
Great band who could really deliver live and then some. Well-rehearsed and extremely tight. Mark McEntee is a wonderful guitarist and Chrissy Amphlett was the best frontperson ever, totally engaging. Their records stand the test of time and if you ever attended any of their performances, you won't forget them. I know i won't.
Steffi Ty na zawsze bedziesz No1!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Kochom Cie od zawsze i na wieki wiekow!!!!!!Cudowna Osoba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂❤
Only saw them once but from the front of the stage. Incredibly tight outfit & Chrissy made for a 100 percent performance. I didn't take my eyes off her for long, she never stopped moving and gesturing, just so unique & an eye magnet,. She used to say,.' I'm only little you know' She made up for it with movement. If Bonn Scott was the consummate frontman, Chrissy was the consummate front woman. Hi-energy Aussie Rock with a front woman, taken to the world stage. What is the saying, ' the brightest stars burn out the fastest' She redefined female sexuality? We are so proud of the Divinyls & thank goodness we all have these films to watch, hopefully forever?
Wow I couldn’t get as close the speaker stack was almost to the roof of the room and my poor old ears . Stood right up the back and it sounded fantastic !
Steffi exuded class & elegance and projected an understated persona. Not one who needed to have constant media attention In fact, actually shunning the limelight. She was a great role model to up & coming players. One of the few women who was more attractive looking when she wasn't wearing makeup. A natural beauty.
they didnt really know what to do when such a player retires so they basically gave her everything they could find ^^ even a DVD player, its just an endless stream of presents its kinda funny
wow, it's so interesting to watch tennis in a totally different era of 1975. The game is so slow & the players hardly move their body but mostly use their arms. Because of the lack of body movement there is less injuries & players back then would not be thought of as athletes. Tennis has progress so much since then.
