Hi guys! I have to say I was surprised you cut your trip short, but I think it’s awesome you have such a special community back home. I would miss that too! I’ll still be watching your content! Excited to see where the tiny home content leads!
Can't do the comparison. People choose the van life because of the mobility. You can bring your home to everywhere with you on the road vs. a foundation home.
@@springwaterusa2195 we did the comparison after living both full time! Two completely different life styles, just depends on which fits your life at the time! It took us 7 years to save up, buy the van, renovate it, and then travel for 10 months straight and we don’t regret that for one second but we’re glad to be back! Thanks for watching! -Cody
@@MaineExplorer we’re definitely loving the tiny house now that it’s not so tiny! Also helps that it’s summer time and not trying to live in this space while it’s freezing outside! Lol
I loved the flip/flop back n forth at the beginning. How fun! Having community is so important in this day and so much of that is lost, especially when living in the country. The drone shot of the property is just so beautiful and you all have your own space and room to do so much in the future. The tiny house is my pick, but I may be just a little biased!!
@@katyp5914 they truly are!! It was the one thing we just couldn’t find/overcome on the road! That’s also the longest we’ve ever been away from family and friends, our entire lives! Thanks for always tuning in! -Cody
Of course being home is better! Living in a mansion on an idyllic but isolated island is much less fulfilling then living in a cave amoungst the people that you love! So grateful that you did it, done that, will always own that, a hard earned dream you made come true - and you and the van will travel again, but now it is your time to build a new dream, a new adventure. It makes me chuckle that Cody, the snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding geek complains about winter. Just goes to show that it is a challenge! But I am sure that all you love at home are grateful for your return. Cannot wait to see what you do next!
Hi you three cuties! The beginning of the video made me dizzy hahaha, so cool! Thank you for this interesting video. My dream is to travel in a van throughout Europe. I have done only so far several trips from Slovakia to Sicily - GOREGOUS!!! Every season of the year is just stunning. So hope to meet you three one day in Europe! :)
This was very interesting. A very thoughtful comparison. I would love to hear more about the compound. Not to invade anyone's privacy but does everyone live in a tiny house? Do you guys own the land as a group? I think living on a compound sounds awesome. My husband and I and each of our two daughters own their own home. We have thought at times what if we sold our homes and created a family compound.
I love the changes in the tiny house! Is this something you planned or was it a surprise when you got back? Living on a compound sounds like such a healthy thing to be doing. If we could all have community, we'd all be better off. Cody, you definitely should do a tiny house cooking series! As far as that space that you didn't know what to do with, I'm thinking some kind of cool shelf or cabinet. I love what you bought for Jill's clothes etc. I think you said it's from Ikea? Hope to see you both soon! ❤️
This was something that was planned! We helped build the floor before we hit the road but everything was move in ready when we got back which was AMAZING!! Community means everything to us, hard to imagine life without it now we’ve experienced it! A cooking series is definitely in the works(I could use some recipe/ideas for sure) and we’re thinking some type of shelf and maybe a rocking chair or seating in the “desk hole” lol. We hope to see you soon!! -Cody
@@brunaaeloi she the absolute best!! We have a saying that we like to us before we do crazy adventures like this “Do it scared”! I’m usually the one up for the crazy adventures but about halfway through this I was second guessing my decisions lol! This was hands down the scariest thing I’ve done until we did the Moab Rope Swing… Thanks again for watching back through our road trip videos, it’s the best thing someone can do to help us grow! We appreciate you! -Cody
Hello Cody and Jillian! 🌞I discovered your channel this week and I've been binge watching it! I love your simplicity and sincerity, and I hope your channel grows a lot and I will definitely follow your adventures. Big hug to Cliff. 🐶🖤
@@brunaaeloi hello hello! We are so glad you found our channel and thank you for bingeing all of our content!! We are so glad that you’re apart of our community and I look forward to talking to you in the comments of future videos! -Cody
Ohhh that would be amazing! We were just filming a video about tiny house vs van life for our upload this Sunday and we were saying how we wish we had more kitchen storage for the tiny house! Decisions decisions haha! Thank you for watching and leaving us a comment! -Cody
We've had so much positivity for the tiny house vegan cooking series so that's definitely going to happen! Any special requests or topics you'd like to see? Let us know and thank you so much for watching!! -Cody
We're so glad to be back!! Love seeing your name pop up in the comments, a true OG tiny house community member! We're definitely going to be checking out your channel for some inspiration, we need to de-clutter now that we have stuff that we left behind in the tiny house, everything we brought in the van, and the new things we acquired along the way! As always, thanks for watching :) -Cody
You two are sooo uplifting! All the best to you both on this new chapter. So nice to have you back! Your channel is enjoyable, and both of you are too, but..., I adore Cliff even more. : )
Thank you so much for the positivity!! Cliff is truly the star of this channel and we know that hahaha! We are so glad to be home and sharing our tiny house with everyone! -Cody
Maybe some kind of seating in the empty desk space with storage underneath? I mean you're probably not going to be throwing any ragers at the tiny house but it might be nice to have an xtra seat for visitors, and if you built your own design you could put it on casters so that it could move to become a type of coffee table/hassock/moveable seating......
Love the idea of some type of storage going right there for sure! Jill is pretty dead-set on some type of rocking chair being in here but I think there will be space for both. Would be awesome being on casters to have some moveable seating as well! Thanks for the ideas :) -Cody
I am really really liking the looks of the shoes! Hoping to see a future commentary on how they feel. Cooking in the tiny house would be an interesting series.... Welcome home!!!
We're excited to put them to the test for sure! We've had a lot of positivity about the tiny house cooking series so we're definitely going to be doing that! -Cody
Cliff is absolutely LOVING the bedroom being downstairs! After we built that bed frame, he barely got off it for a few days(I think he thinks we built that for him)! Thanks for always watching and leaving us a comment! -Cody
Yeaaaay, back home to the cutest tiny house! I love the bedroom, it´s comfy and big! I love house you cleverly use all the space. Cannot wait for the update when you finish nesting :) I was laughing so hard by Cody cleaning the ceiling with his hair hahaha You three are cute. Welcome home, and enjoy! Much love XX P.S. Please make a cooking video! And decorating...and plants content and and and... :D
So glad that you're still following along in this next chapter of ours! We have had a lot of feedback for the tiny house cooking videos so that's definitely happening and there will for sure be a few videos about decorating and such! Talk to you in the comments of future videos :) -Cody
He's always trying SO hard to understand what we're saying, we think he knows more english than he should LOL! Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment, we appreciate it! -Cody
@@roxannestarratt5803 it was honestly the craziest thing I’ve ever done in my life! My brain was just screaming DON’T JUMP, DON’T JUMP! Hahaha thanks for watching and leaving us a comment! -Cody
Thank you so much for watching!! You should check out the latest video we just posted! We added a downstairs bedroom and moved the office up stairs so we have to use the stairs less(especially in the middle of the night). Hope to talk to you in the comments of future videos! -Cody
How beautiful to have so many people who missed you and love you and care about you ✨️ This is the first time seeing your videos, and it brought me to tears! Ogunquit is one of my favorite places in the world - my husband and I have been going for 14 years - Maine IS something special ❤
Thank you SO much for all the positivity, we're so thankful you found one of our videos! Ogunquit is absolutely beautiful, we live less than an hour from there and enjoy it every single time! Hope to talk to you in the comments of future videos! -Cody
There is always a tear or two for me every time, some times just because of the music. But I think there was a bit of an ugly cry repeat in this one.....
Aaaw what a surprise! Yes tiny house! Cannot wait. And whenever you have the feeling that the van is calling you, just do it! Looking forward for your next adventures! You three are so cute. I cannot stop laughing about Cliff, being the boss behind the "wheel"...he is a good helper, showing you the road! Aaaaw that meeting with your family touched my heart. You all are good people. Your videos always warm my heart and make me smile. Thank you. :*
We're so thankful that you are following along and always leave us so much positivity in the comments! Cliff knew as soon as we crossed that bridge back into Maine that we were heading home, he's so smart(too smart for his own good sometimes)! Thanks again for being such a big part of our community here on RU-vid, we truly appreciate you! -Cody
Ok so I cried the whole video.. this is the best.. although I am not going to lie, I will miss the van adventure videos for sure.. I can't wait to see the tiny house video. Love ya
So glad you guys are back, I didn't really know what to say when I came through the door lol. Welcome home to all 3 of you. Kind of sad the big adventure has come to an early end but you were certainly missed...
Your reaction was perfect!! We feel the same way about the big adventure being over(almost feels like a dream already) but so glad to be home! More exploring videos in the future for sure but a little closer to home lol! Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment! -Cody
My job over the past twelve years had me traveling all over North America. I swear I’ve seen so much of this country, which I’m incredibly lucky. Driving, flying, whatever. It was and still is a ton of travel. I do love Washington state, British Columbia, and Alaska. My other favorites. But nothing has made me feel happier and more at home than Maine. I never wanna leave, even when I have to travel for work haha! I’m glad you guys got to travel, and there’s definitely tons of amazing spots all over! But Maine has always felt like home to me (and I didn’t grow up here).
Thank you so much for this comment dude, it put a huge smile on my face! We wanted to leave Maine and explore but didn't realize how much we truly loved it here(which I'm pumped about). We didn't get to check out Washington state or Alaska which is where we would have gone after Utah/Colorado but ended up driving back. Still on the bucket list but so glad to be home. Would love to catch up and grab some coffee or something soon! -Cody
I'm so happy that you've made it back to Maine. Thank you so much for taking us all along on your adventures. I have enjoyed all of the videos and can't wait to see what's next for you. Welcome home!
Thank you so much Angela! We are truly so excited to be home, we missed Maine and our community so much! Traveling in the van almost feels like it was a crazy dream already, so glad we have the videos to look back on. We truly appreciate you following along and always leaving us comments, you're the best!! -Cody
