Would you shut the Airbag Light off the same way with a Push Start? I only ask because I have a 2013 Lexus GS350 which is a Push Start. Also I installed my aftermarket steering wheel back in 2021 & I managed to bypass the Airbag Light but after storing the Car for a Very Long Winter & then after Winter having to replace the battery that is when the Air Bag Light came back on. Any reason why that may have happened?
If your 2wd indeed has springs, it should be the same. but some 2wds of that year were torsion bar. Also, if you change the springs you’ll need new upper arms, too. I’ve never seen it done without arms and i’ve also never seen 2” coils. Back in the early 2000s we all used 2.5” with aftermarket upper.
This is the real teaching how to connected the adapter wheel....thank to you bruh...others youtuber just showing unnecessary action like skru up,how to open skru, how to lock skru, how to pull up steering wheel then just finish..just like that...
Ya. You can use some electrical conduit. flatten and bend the ends to the right angle. I did that 20 years ago on another ranger that I flared the bedsides on. will get to it on this truck eventually
Thank you for the detailed instructions! I have a 2008 Beetle and got the engine light on. I found that the cooling system error P-2181 comes up when checking. Do you have any DIY videos to fix this. Appreciate the help!!
Hi Ray, Greg writing back. My project truck (1997 STX) continues to improve. I bought some Aries 3" round side bar (running boards) and I couldn't get them to work. Have you considered adding some to your truck?
This is an old video. I’d look into Auxito. I use those on my other cars and they’re much brighter. I’ve been meaning to update my bulbs on this car, just haven’t gotten around to it
Did mine last week. With 14” wheels I didn’t jack it up or pull the wheels off at all just turned them out of the way. Did it in the driveway and had them both done in 20 minutes. I put on KYB shocks and didn’t have to beat anything on/off. The back shocks were even easier…all four took about an hour. Also have no idea what “aviation snips” are…I call them tin snips.
Just this week picked up an ‘11 4.0 2wd to replace my ‘93, and all the chimes are driving me nucking futs. Do you think this would work on an ‘11? One thing I’ve heard the last few days is that Ford techs with access to the right computer and codes can turn off these chimes… have you heard of this?
Ya i couldn’t tell you to be certain. I have had a 99, 08, and 95 ranger. the 08 was quite a bit more advanced on the inside than the 90s trucks. I would look into the obd2 computer update first
The doors are all the same for XTerra/Pathfinder/Frontier; the only difference the Pathfinder driver side window motor has a 6-pin connector, vs the 2 pin connector; ensure you require the correct motor connector. Everything else is the same procedure.
Try using 2 cinder blocks on each side with a level and a string while making sure that you have the blocks exactly in line with each other as well as have them about 2 inches from the tires. Use a tape measure to make sure that you have your tires the same distance from the string line. Make sure that you have your steering wheel straight as well as the tires. Some people like to put the front tires slightly more tow in however that chews the tires down. I literally just passed the knowledge that I received from a Vietnam veteran who was a close friend of mine that was actually more like family to me. Sadly he's passed away however the knowledge I received from him remains so that's basically a old-school alignment in a nutshell courtesy of a good man and great teacher. Yes it does take a bit of time to do this however it is effective to the point I have not needed to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a alignment since I was fortunately blessed with the knowledge. It actually gets easier each time as well as a bit quicker. I can get mine aligned in about 25-30 minutes if it gets bad enough to where I have to tow it to my house from the trails
Used this method on an 08 f350 I rebuilt the front end on, took it to the shop after for laser alignment. They didn't charge me and said I was only technically 1/32 of an inch off
Turns out, if you go ahead and decide to replace ALL your dash lights with new, brighter and longer lasting LED’s, that STUPID door chime will also start making loads of racket that makes you want to jump outta the window every time!! 😩
