@@1ohmwrecker It’s internals and you are doing it to prevent a problem with the guts. Waxing a car protects the exterior from aesthetic damage and not the engine from failing. So that amp is basically a new Toyota truck engine. It needs work right outta the factory and most manufactures would void your warranty to do the work yourself.
@mattyb1459 ok cool lol. We'll FYI, I wouldn't do it to a salt series, or incriminator ix series... it's a cheap $600 amp. And all I have is a 3×2 ft space that takes a good it of vibration. It seems to help. I opened my smart 5 after doing it and being in 2.5 yrs. It works for me. I'm not suggesting it. Just making videos of what I personally do w the stuff I spend my money on. 🤷♂️

@SlamryCamry19 I haven't played w it too much. I seem to see around 4,500 watts or so when I do look. Depending on song. I haven't done test tones or anything yet. And I'd love to go to sundown, but it's a 8 or 9 hr drive for me, and I'd have to take my rims off cuz riding that far on 1 inch of tire would be iffy lol. Slamology is only 4.5 hrs from me. Maybe one day. I'd like to for sure!
@@1ohmwrecker are you going to slamology 2025 I am definitely going to be there trying to get the build done before then just found someone local to me that can do anything at all possible custom to a build got a quote for the doors yesterday nothing crazy 4x6.5's and two tweets in each door with a custom grill and trim covering everything for a clean looking install and everything wired up as soon as I'm done with the doors I'm doubling the SCIB bank and getting the second 15" Tyrant still haven't decided on the amps yet was going to go with the AAK 6k on it but the way it's eating the CAB-45 I know it can take more than the 6k all day I would like to have the Incriminator audio IX15.1 15k RMS but it's the price of a down payment on a house LoL so I don't know about it but I definitely need mo powa baby lol I'm only seeing 2300 watts on certain songs and majority of songs only around 1500 but the reason is my box rise the BHG wattage meter is showing me I'm rising all the way up to 6-8 ohms definitely not good way to much impedance rise the only way I know to fight that is mo powa 💪💪💪
@RomaVilla I paid $200 for it lol 🤦♂️ so I'm just gonna keep it as a backup or put in another one of my cars. That Skar 150.4 class AB sounds amazing tho! I only paid $135 for it!
@HellaBassTBO that's loudness I can't even fathom lol. I got a 150.3 out of it @33hz a week or so ago. I love it! Deff pushing these subs to the max. Getting stinky without even clipping lol.
I guess I’m torn because you changed amps and only got 2 dB. It seems like there’s some other things you could’ve done to get a lot more I was watching a video the other day and the guy only had 1500 W pushing 140 I’m not saying a systems not nice but he only had one sub
Been eyeing that Big Boss 8. Did my electrical and just got my lithium in, ready for an 8-12k but am still on a 2k amp right now and getting impatient. Thats a real nice gain going from a 5k to an 8k
@murrayshekelberg9754 that's with the windows down and sunroof open. I got a 150.3 out of it the other day. It's a pretty decent difference! Need to upgrade the electrical a bit now lol.
What model sub you got and what size box do you have and with taramps it’s best to have wired to the lowest ohm’s the amp can take cuz it can do 8k @ .5 1 and 2 to help impedance rise also with the filters on the amp just don’t use them they don’t work right just leave low pass off and high pass all the way up and use the cross over on the dsp you will have better sounding bass
@jessebeatty9696 sundown Xv3 D1's 12's in a 4.5cf box tuned to 31hz. It's half a cube too small cuz it's the biggest I could fit. And that's exactly what I do... I use the dsp for filtering. I considered wiring at .5 ohm but I got plenty of power and it's just unnecessary for a daily driver in my circumstance.

Back in the 80's and 90's I used to repair amps, all of them class AB. Back then I never came across a class D. I've been watching Barevids for years and got a wealth of information on class D amps. I'm surprised that you're using hot glue but after reading all the comments it appears that it's safe for this application.
I see your one of the few people i can find on youtube with a trailblazer and a system. I dont think you have it anymore, but can you tell me what system you have in the trailblazer? Was it stock electrical? Trying to see how big of a system i can do without having to upgrade the alternator and all that.
@serenityfpv I do still have my trailblazer parked behind my shop at work. System sound sooo good in them! I had a cheap $200 ebay high output alt. But on factory electrical you don't wanna exceed 1500 watts. If you got a spare battery or something maybe 2 to 2.5k watts.

Maybe its because the back of it curves up a little so the bass bounces off the back good? 1500 watts is sorta good enough for me anyways. But theres a guy in the town over selling a 350 amp alternator for a 4.2, for 50$ Figured i buy it but sounds too good to be true. Thanks for the reply bro, needed that info
I hope you're using some kind of very high temp hot glue. If its regular hot glue then its just going to melt when the amp heats up and then it isn't helping anything. Best to either use silicone or gorilla glue. Could also use epoxy but that isnt going to come off at all. So if it needs to be repaired then it could cause issues. Best thing for taramps is having the correct electrical to support the amp and don't mount the amp to the speaker box.
@hopskustomaudio yes it's the high temp gorilla glue. Just posted my smart 5 after 2.5 yrs installed and did the same thing w the same glue and it's as solid as the day I did it. I would use epoxy if I didn't already buy this high temp gorilla glue a while back. But it works.

@brandonc5965 what I've got now is much better. Higher strand. And tinned. I am a welder, so I ain't knocking the welding wire tho. I've got all 2/0 welding wire ran all thru my back up vehicle tho.
