you need a box 5cuft net volume, tuned to 32hz, with 80-90 sq inches of port area.. the difference in output would be awesome! then probably face that ported baffle to the front... youd be doin 150's on that 5k
@@1ohmwrecker I agree with you one hundred percent? Ain't nobody help you buy your equipment and everyone is always suggesting a bigger enclosure? Like you said you can only fit what can fit in your trunk it's not like you own a suv or suburban I Ain't mad at you brother Nice car
I completely understand bro every time I post a video I get people talking about man clean up your wiring..... Uhhhh I'm in the middle of the build in case common sense didn't tell you that from the video lolol 🤣 I don't understand why they do that if it's not related to the video don't be that one guy who always has something to say about the next mans build and where did you get your box I have a buddy at work with two ZV6 12 and he just ordered the D4S HD3 dual 12 enclosure that matches my HD3 single 15 enclosure and it won't fit in the trunk of his mustang so he is looking for a good box that will fit
@SlamryCamry19 yeah we got some very douchey ppl in our hobby. But we got some good ppl too. Anyone that posts on here I try to support cuz I want the hobby to grow! And most the ppl that run their mouth have nuttin on their page to show lol.
Good shit bro and beautiful ride! I agree you bought the equipment SEND IT! imo X, and Z series are made for extreme abuse they dont get loud loud till you start clipping a little lol
Shes taken a light clip ever since I got em. 🤣🤷♂️ I've never smelled them even once. They've deff got warm. But I only got a smart 5k on em, so they can deff take more. I've had them well over a year now and I still love em the same. My only gripe is the weight. 150lbs of just subs in my trunk plus box and equipment, deadener, batteries, etc my air suspension doesn't like it so much. And since the suspension doesn't take the weight well, I get bubbles in my low profile tires super easy. I gotta replace both back ones before I put em on this season.
@@1ohmwrecker Yea bro I gotta agree with you on that manuevering these things around is a pain mine are inverted right now and I like it but I wanna put them back in the box but im dreading it because they are so heavy. Im running only an orion xtr 2500 right now on mine at .5 ohm so theyre barely moving I plan on going with the JP83 next
@EazyBuildz I mean, anything is safe if u know what you're doing lol. Seems u may be kinda new to it, so I'd go with the smart bass 5k. If you watch barevids video on it, you'll see it's got a feature that makes it throttle itself backing its getting low voltage or you're clipping too hard. Perfect for ppl that isn't used to big power. Just watch that clip light. Really this amp is a perfect match. I just like to push boundaries🤷♂️
Nice now I'm in idiot because I blew my 18" American Bass Godfather 4" flat wound aluminum coil. I had it way to loud on the lows and bent my coil former wich later made the coil unwind. It was on 5k rms watts without the subsonic filter on.
I have the same size headway bank, how does it support 5K? I have a skar 3500 on 1 12x.3 not enough juice to add my 2nd. But the headway support the amp easy. Also I'm on factory alt
Supports it great. About to upgrade to an 8k. I also use a xs power agm for the cars voltage, and the bank strictly for my amp. And I got a 300a auto tech alt.
Bro, I never get tired of looking at them monster subs. I smoked my 15 xv3 after 20 mins of play, had it wired at half and gave it a little to much power on my 6k but a new sub sent to me from sundown so I’m happy about that
The Fi for sure lol. You can choose logo color, push terminals or direct leads. Rated 500 watts more than the Xv3. Got an fs of 33hz, which the Xv3's is is 37 hz. I've never looked at those till you mentioned them, and yeah it's a better option I'm assuming. If you chose a dual 1 ohm, you can wire down to half ohm for all the power lol. I use the smart bass amps so they're half ohm stable. But yeah, those are nice man! Or at least wait till the xv4 comes out. It'll be soon.
@1ohmwrecker hey thanks for the response reason why I'm asking because I had the fi btl it was loud and low but the surround rip apart on clean power I had the xv3 for a short time sold it regrets it it was very low but now I have a fi hc not install yet so asking which would be better to just get the xv3 or keep the fi hc hoping it will play lower like the xv3?
The one I initially put it in was the EVL box. I had to cut the motor brace inside the box, and widen the counter sink so the subs would sit flat. But they fit. Blew the box apart tho🤷♂️ but I'm not sure about the regular lil boxes they got tho🤷♂️
Nope. You can over power subwoofers if they are good quality by a significant margin as long as the signal is clean. For example the sundown zv6 is rated at 2500 rms but people put 5k on them. If you clip the signal you blow the sun even below rated power.
@@brianwaller7383 nope. People think they are putting 5k on them but not with rise. So if I put 500 watts on that same 2500 watt speaker 100% clipped what will happen? Not shit. What about music that is clipped on purpose. Does that break speakers? Nope. What happens is your amp is making more power than you think it is. A 500 watt amp will make way more than 500 watts clipped...over powering breaks speakers.
@@cdbennett2332 then explain how I was putting 5k rms to a sub rated at 3k rms? The only reason why I took them out is I upgraded to another sub with lower fs response. They were tuned to 44 hertz and box was at 32.
