A selection of pottery making demonstration videos of me throwing & making pots of all types on the potters wheel during my job at the Pottery in the United Kingdom.
I hope you can pick up some tips from watching me doing what I do for a living if you are learning how to make pottery yourselves.
Please feel free to ask a question via RU-vid if you have anything to ask.
Hi how much clay do you use and is your clay very soft? You seem to pull these very fast strong hands? Experience obviously! Also you done use ribs on your pots ? Not necessary?
Just found your channel 🎉 New Subbie! Thanks so much for sharing your design for these 🙏🏼 when I am recovered from shoulder replacement surgery and get to learn to throw I'll definitely be giving them a try 😉 in the meantime it's the slab life for me 😊
@@LaLaArtStudio Shoulder injury can be painful when throwing. I have a hand injury that is annoying. I use a Strong Arm centering tool for getting the centering done. Check out their videos
I watched you when I was little after being put in a pottery class for day care. Your videos take me back, are comforting to watch and inspiring to see!
Thank you so much. I am an amputee from birth and love making ceramics but thought the wheel may be out of my abilities. This video proved me wrong and reinforced my belief that anything is possible, you just have to find a way to make it work!
The tricky thing is that I suspect all of the water that’s going to get inside of the birdfeeder. Maybe you would put a little roof over the opening.????
You’re very invented! That is a fabulous way to make around birdfeeder! I just wish that when I turn it on the wheel, I could do it as easily as you do 😃😃 You are fabulous. Love you.
I've been watching your videos for years. You have this amazing talent with throwing on wheel that it inspired me to try and get on the pottery wheel. Sadly, I didn't really have the patience for it. But watching you is always satisfying.
How did u get it perfectly centered from one cone? I cone 3-4 even 5 times, try to force it into center so hard with my left hand and it's still not centered so eventually it wobbles and the walls are uneven
Absolutely loved watching the process of creating this wide pottery vase! Your skill and patience really shine through, especially when you explain the challenges and techniques involved. The final piece looks amazing, and it's so inspiring to see you push the boundaries of what’s possible without resorting to shortcuts. Great job, and thanks for sharing your craft with us! 🎨👏
This video is a delightful journey into the world of ceramic art! It's inspiring to see you embrace the creative process, even if it’s been a few years since your last ceramic apple. Your honest commentary and willingness to experiment make this video not only educational but also highly relatable. The final product may not be a perfect apple, but it’s a testament to your skill and creativity. Keep up the great work, and thank you for sharing your artistic process with us! 🍏🎨
