On this channel I test and review all types of audio products, I try to get my hands on speakers as soon as they come out, so I can test them and show them to you guys before you take the hit yourself. I try to be as subjective as possible, only focusing on the facts and giving my honest opinion based on the experiences I have had in the past, remember, everyone has different tastes in music genres and audio products so you may not agree with me! I welcome any constructive criticism, requests for reviews or comparisons and try to reply to every comment I receive :)
I have a website at www.hammotech.com where you can see a broken-down scoresheet of every speaker I have ever reviewed. You can use the 'Which speaker is for you page' to answer some quick questions and get a personalised recommendation within 24 hours! Finally, you can use the 'Contact Me' page to suggest ideas for future videos, or to reach out for collaboration!
Thank you so much for the video! Just checked on Amazon and it's about $48 with the coupon... The slight distortion issue is almost negligible at this price I think.
I prefer one way facing speakers, because all the sound goes to your direction, if I'm using it in a party then I just set it on one side of the party as one usually does, so you wouldn't have to speak through the speaker. I really don't understand 360 speakers, half of the sound always faces away from you. This speaker is amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone who needs this portable form factor and enough power to support 10 people hangout. It is comparable in sound and power to much more expensive jbl and bose speakers.
You missed a hudge benefit of the 120s battery. When flying, you can't put lithium batteries in checked luggage. Now if you want to bring the 120 to a vacation house, or college, you can take the battery out and put it in your carryon, then check into baggage the speaker. It's not going to be a big thing for most people, but it's definitely a plus for anyone who wants to travel with this speaker.
Great review and song. I’ve got the 710 and just wanting another with more portability but was fearing 120 not being adequate. Sounds to me now like it will offer better fuller sound at lower volume and much easier portability so is the G O thanks for ur comparison and remarks between the two 🤙🏻
The Onyx 8 has even better sound when it’s plugged in! It gets louder and the bass also get deeper. Just saying. I bough couple day ago the Aura 4 and i didn’t like the sound, there is something missing. So im gonna return it and get the Onyx 8.
The Onyx has LOTS of bass if the Bass EQ mode is turned on. Holding the Bluetooth and Minus (-) button down for 10 seconds switches mode. Your Bass Mode is turned off.
good review bro... would you recommend this over the jbl boom box 3? .. i've let my friend borrow my boom box 3 atm.. looking at letting him keep it for free.. and maybe.. when i can afford this one.. getting this.
@@HammoTechReviews thanks m8... it's too heavy for me.. My m8 bought the carry strap harness for it. He loves it.. I like the look of the 4.. and it's lightweight. 🤗 cheers bro.. best review I've watched on the 4
Its better until it dies randomly. WKING IS NOT HONORING MY WARRANTY. Had 2 months on my warranty, they offered me a $50 coupon. COUPON to buy more stuff from a company that doesnt honor their warranty. YEAH RIGHT. If you buy from them pray it doesnt work because theyre in China and theyll just ignore you.
I've been using the Max at work in a open area and it is excellent. I don't have any qualms with it. The battery lasts extremely well and the bass is nice. Its pretty weighty which was a surprise and its size is not extremely large. The Max was designed with Bose's inherent trait of quality over quantity whereas it can't be pushed past a certain volume without detriment. I own various Bose speakers and the truth of the matter is that they were designed for enclosed areas not open. The Max is the first Bose speaker the performs well in a open area as long as it is not pushed past a certain volume which is about sixty per cent. At that volume it is loud enough with causing distortion but fifty is the perfect volume for this speaker so if you like to blast this is definitely not the speaker for you.
Aesthetically it’s really handsome and having it in a corner of a living room it doesn’t look like an eyesore like some of these streamer systems can be. I really like mine.
It’s a great speaker. But! As almost everthing else it has t got Micro-SD or USB input. I put my Dub and Smooth DnB on a stick. Then it’s just play and pause etc, play track again with the media card in. Yeah, I got 26 BT speakers, and only one has card PLUS mic input with bucket echo. But for just SD card, and mic input with no echo, Souncore Party Proof does the job. The TDK Boomboxes from like three years ago was great, The One and Two, not the 76 something. Right now I’m eockimg one of two Luxor things. With SD and USB.
Thanks for the video! Can you connect a partybox to a mixer? I'm trying to figure out how to use 4 microphones before I jump into buying these speakers. Thanks for any answers!
