I often hear people say 5 is too easy but i dunno I’m having WAY more trouble with this game then I ever did with smt4 and Strange Journey two games I rarely ever struggled with outside of trying to find out where the hell to go. Now I’m playing the vengeance campaign on hard and I’ve never finished finished the original so I dunno I feel like there’s a lot more depth then most people give to credit for especially in team comp building. In smt3 all the way to 4a you basically just spam buffs and charge/concentrate and win the game. It’s kinda brainless tbh In this game you can build a composition around omagatoki Savage, Adversity, Critial, make a team around benefiting from passives, make a team centered around demon combo skills, make a team around attacks then benefit from poison etc there’s so much you can do in this game.
Just finally beat it a few days ago. (Paper mario remake made me finish because I was not starting another game till this was done!) and seriously, it was SO WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT! A fantastic game that will have your head spinning the whole time!
TFW I just treat the whole dungeon like how I treat the womb of grief NGL my brain didn't even comprehend what type of 🔥 I have accomplished because I was so focused on beating the game from start to finish (doing both the regular story dungeons and womb of grief juggling them both at the same time) and getting the new neutral ending at my first try. (yes, I played the REDUX version), only realizing now my accomplishment after looking back after 7 years. Well I did use guides in the teleport areas but that's just that, most of the time, my OCD just takes over my body and just cleans up the map before going to the next area or part of the story and then yeh..
Hey Petrock, I have a question. Does the Japanese version of persona 2 has English subtitles or is it full Japanese because I’m planning on playing persona two but the US version is expensive now and I try looking up the Japanese version and it’s a lot more cheaper On the video, are you playing the Japanese version?
Hot take but Strange Journeys infamous difficulty comes from its exploration and map layout not the combat, the actual combat id argue is one of the easier non persona megatens. Demon Coop makes the game easier because it inherently makes random battles easier. When you encounter a new enemy with press turns there’s always a chance that you might miss your attack and lose turns or accidentally trigger an enemy drain or block, lose all your turns and lose the fight, demon coop has no such issue outside of a small handful of demons with tetra or makarakarn. If you miss or trigger a block in SJ what always happens is that you just take some easily healable damage an move on, there’s no snowball effect it’s really not that punishing. Random battles in SJ are a complete joke outside of some obnoxious demons here and there hell you can straight up auto battle your way through half of em without much thought it feels especially since Physical Demons feel stronger compared to other games in the series most likely to compensate for the new battle system (crits can’t activate demon coop after all which clearly had an effect on balance) and unlike press turn it’s not like the enemies can use demon coop against you so there’s no more of that interesting “enemy plays by the same rules you do” gameplay too. You can honesty straight up ignore Demon Coop too as it’s actual effectiveness decreases as the game goes on giving diminishing returns, you simply can’t say the same for press turn. The only exception to this is maybe the fiends and some optional bosses (non mandatory content lol) and ouroboros who’s one of the only bosses that utilizes demon coop in an engaging way by being a dps race. plus since maaca is a non factor in the game due to analyzing and forma farming you can just spam mitamas until your demons are at a way higher level in stats. Serioulsy you can get an absurd amount of maaca in the game in no time at all
Most of Eriadanus is perfectly fine, but the forma search for Jack sucks so much I gave up after teleporting in circles with no progress for three hours and used a map from Gamefaqs. When I am playing a game more recent than Ultima, Alkabeth or Wizardy, I don’t want to pull out the graph paper and draw the map myself. Another sector in the game does the teleport maze much better, so I don’t know what they were thinking when they designed Eriadanus. If the teleport maze was designed better, this would probably be my second favorite sector in the game.
Currently stuck on him and looking for anyway to beat him, I have played many smt games and tatics games but this is crazy. I love difficult battles but this asshole isn't well designed it's stupid. You can only damage him with one weak attacks AND he constantly regenerates his own health AND he spawns a billion guys that beeline to him to heal him
Was für eine beschissene Synchronisation , muss das sein ? Besser Sub als sowas . . . und richtige Stimmen gehen immer . . . Mit freundlichen Grüßen , Fankenstein , 🧶
