Im 99% certain that it was not a melotron on Twilight, as there's a specific string sound on old yamaha keyboards that sounds dead on exactly like the fake string sounds on that song. I have a smaller yamaha keyboard from the late 80's or so and it matches the sound on the record too closely to allow me to believe its anything else.
Jesse Lacey is very much a redeemable man. he is such an awesome guy and what he did was horrible but he deserves redemption. I love Jesse. and I love brand new.
Screw a drug overdose, he died of a broken heart. That’s so sad. I can relate to him. It’s so easy to get high (when you readily have access to drugs) and really hard to quit. It’s the physical dependency of opioids. Without that factor, we would have many more successful rehab and overall sobriety attempts. I wish it were that easy. For all of us.
Then in 1997 for the livid festival The same interviewer was interviewing Jimmy Pop from Bloodhound Gang and Rivers was brought up for awhile and apparently off camera the interviewer and Rivers were talking about comics as said by the interviewer
I remember planning on seeing JD in late May 1980 as they were slated to start their first North American tour. When I heard he had killed himself, I wasn't surprised....just didn't think he'd do it so soon. I had the original first pressing/packaging of the French 'Atmospheres' 7-inch record backed by 'Dead Souls'. Wish I had kept that.
Saw 'em upstairs at the State Theater in Olympia in 1992, back when it was one of those shitty triplexes. They played with Benedict Gehlen, which was Conrad from Trail Of Dead's band at the time. This was an absolutely chaotic show and I don't remember there being any live shows there after that. Needless to say I've been a fan ever since.
WOW. This was some of the greatest work and very inspiring sounds blending heavy, mellow and haunting This album came out at a really special time in my life. Lotta good times with people early 90s were some of the best times ever great music the big four have always been my favorite and still are to this day. The very last great bands ever
They’d be remembered as a fire grunge band but not historic that’s fs Kurt would’ve still made them be remembered as I think future generations would still find their music and vibe with his voice bro this is phenomenal plz make more what the hell so good homie
Think I was 16 when Jar of Flies came out. I absolutely loved Dirt, I listened to Dirt and Facelift non stop. To say I was disappointed at the time would be an understatement. Their hard dark sound was what I loved. Over the years I’ve grown to love it, I’m older now so I can appreciate the bands versatility.
