I have a different question. Did you work while completing your PhD? If yes, how did you manage a work, life n school balance? Were you able to qualify for grants n scholarships to cover your tuition? Thanks, Jouli
Great video - great pointers too, best Ive seen so far✌️💜😊 Could I just ask how many words you were allowed for your PS please 🤔🤞 I did see, when I quickly looked, that you studied at and graduated from the UoB too (congrats), thats my Alma Mater as well (and my GP's and several of my old mentors). Its a small world💜 Ive fond memories of the area and friends there as well💜✌️
You can’t ‘get’ your degree accredited. Only a few universities in the UK are accredited by the institute of biomedical science. Not all of them are russel group. Russel group means that it is research intensive and thats it - nothing more. If you go to an unaccreddited university just because you want a russel group, you will have to do extra years and extra modules after graduating in order to be accredited by the Institute of biomedical science and actually become a BMS. There are hundreds and thousands of qualified biomedical scientists in the uk and as long as your degree is accreddited it doesnt matter what uni you go to as the degree from the uni is heavily assessed and regulated by the INSTITUTE OF BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE. For example, my friends who went to manchester university studied there which is russel group but it is not accredited by the Institute of biomedical science as it is a research uni only so now they are struggling to find a job because their degree is not accredited nor accepted by many health professions in the UK. If they want to actually become a BMS, they HAVE to do top up modules and extra coursees or else they will not progress. Or, they can just do research. It is a very important topic lots of people dont even know about this.
Hello, Can you please guide me on how to contact IBMS for degree accreditation as my degrees are outside of the UK hence, I want to know how many modules I might need to do for HCPC. Thank you,

Hi Atousa! I'm not sure if you remember me, but we met up once when I was living in London way back in 2017/2018 (the Costa at Hayes Galleria ring a bell?) Anyway I just wanted to say I'm so proud of you and you've come such a long way!!! So very glad to see these updates and excited to keep up as you go forward!
