The Vermont Country Store is one thing on my bucket list. My father's mother always wore Wing Sing perfume. Evetime I smell it I think of her. Great video. Heading to Maine in a week, can't wait.
I love the VT Country Store so am a fan of any footage from there. 😊 l also like the Mod Podge craft project with the American flags. I was thinking how fun it would be to take apart an autumn, spring, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas-motif paper napkin and use Mod Podge to make even more seasonal or holiday-specific candles. Thank you, Carla!
I loved it when I saw all the perfumes we used to wear in the country store! What a blast from the past! When you asked Linda did you used to wear Wind Song I said I used to wear that! And Loves Baby soft was my fav! Great video!❤️

No one even heard of 2% in the fifities!!! haha Love the thought of a day out shopping with a girlfriend. And lunch , of course!!!!
LOL, you're so fun Liane! Wasn't there a TV Show that a Character always had to have Bosco? I can't remember right now what Show that is, but yes, we always had either Bosco or Hershey's Syrup. Happy Sunday!
Carla, I just subscribed to your channel after seeing this beautiful video. Thank you. This is the first one that I have seen, and I am "sold" on your content, music, filming, and engaging personality. I have been a faithful subscriber to Linda's NE Fine Living videos. I didn't realize that you are friends. I see you share her "kindred spirit". I live in New York City, so now I can see your beautiful New England towns through your camera lens as well as through Linda's. I am impressed that you responded to all your viewers' comments. God bless, Robert.
Beautiful places to visit during summer, hopefully I’ll get to visit one day. Great to have Linda as a friend. So many interesting items to choose from at the shops! Thanks for sharing your outing! 🍋🪴🌸 ( I always watch your videos on tv then comment on phone I get mixed up at times 😂
The VCS is on my list to visit before summer is over. They used to have my favorite shampoo from the early 80's : Gee your hair smells terrific" not sure if they sell that anymore. I have bought a few things from their catalog and I love the quality of their products. You ladies certainly had a lot of fun on your little trip!
Thank you for taking us along. The Vermont General store looks like you step back in time. Looks like you Linda had a good time and a few laughs. I was in a store in Highlands, NC they had Seabreeze. My grandmother used to use that. I did not know if they still made that. The lake was so peaceful, looks beautiful with the pine trees. Thank you enjoyed your video.
Beautiful videos! Thanks for taking the time to make such nice content with lovely music! Please don’t forget to show us the outside of the stores too like the chocolate store for example (the inside looks great!)!
Thank you! I had done previous Videos on Walpole and The Vermont Country Store (linked below this Video) and showed the outside in those videos if you are interested. Have a great Sunday.
Hi Carla, I loved this video! So nice, seeing you and Linda together! The last time I went to the Vermont Country Store, I bought the Lemon Up shampoo and conditioner, and they take me back to the 70's! Thanks for sharing your travels, Carla. Made me smile to see you and Linda excited about the perfumes. That was a blast from the past! Also, seeing. Bosco chocolate syrup was a reminder of childhood days. I am going to make those flag jar candles. They are charming.❤😊
Thank you Sue. We definitely had a fun day and we were like two kids in a candy store reminiscing with all of the Perfumes, Shampoos and they even had the Kissing Lip Potion (roller ball) if you remember that. lol Have fun with the Flag Candle Jars....so easy and you can be so creative with it. Have a great week Sue!
You did a beautiful job filming Boston. As a kid I went to the North-end once a week to shop at the market with my Italian parents at Haymarket square.where they had fresh fruit and vegetables in their carts. and remember sitting in the back of our station wagon eating fresh hot Italian bread from the bakery. Ha …funny the things that stay with you . we also would go to Regina’s pizza place in the North End which was so delicious ! It is still there and still does a great business and the line to get in was down the street and sound the corner, not too long ago it was on Chronicle on TV….My father was a cab driver in his younger years in Boston and had many stories to share, and had many stars in his cab and knew every street in Boston like the back of his hand. That was when Boston was a much safer place to be.in.. Again thank you for sharing and bringing back fond memories of times gone by.🌸
Went to the Moultonboro store many times over the years when I had family in the area. Sadly It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve been there but thanks for the tour. I was thrilled when you showed the old crocks with the pickles. I wondered if they were still there! I always got a sour pickle.
