Yes, I sometimes forget, too. I buy the seasoning powder in bulk for the golden milk powder, but I do grind up the flour in my grain grinder I found online for $10.
I like the size of your place. Im claustrophobic so I dont think i could do van life. Hope you can get things resolved soon and be able to move forward.🙏

This has been soooo very stressful and is affecting my health, either way, if I stay or fight, it's stressful, but at least I will be sure I am protecting my rights and not letting this park owner run me out with nothing.
I live in southern california. I have a 1600 square foot house that I am thinking of selling. My husband passed away October of 2022 so this house is definitely more than I need. I'm going to try to buy a mobile home with cash in a city-owned park that we have here. The space rent is fixed and because it's city-owned it is very well-maintained. They even have a guard at the gate when you drive in.🙏

I have an older daughter in Oregon, and two grandsons. I’m hoping to get up there. I will get more help, and yes, mobile homes are 1/3 of the cost of here. So is the cost of living, L O L.
How about packing up and storing all your stuff in storage, including the appliances as you can sell them later and move into your van and hit the road for Oregon for the next year and put a bunch of money you won't be paying in rent together and sell all the stuff and next winter, go shopping for a nice new or newer RV? What's that saying?? Ya gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em!! You can use the van experience to make some rather interesting videos for your channel too!!
I would love to do vanlife, but if I put all my stuff in storage, that costs a lot, and I still have to pay the rent for the mobile home, and if I'm not 'living in the unit' I will have to pay twice as much in storage for my home. My minivan is not quite right for full-time living for me with my disabilities.
If I did that, I would be charged storage fee of $2500 a month until he feels like pulling it out, that would go on my credit, because I wouldn’t be able to pay that and live somewhere else.
So, if you walk away from your MH and drive away, he gets to charge you $2500 per month storage but when you have tried to sell it, he gets rid of your buyers?? Wouldn't you be better off getting out of your mobile home there and the high rent I'm assuming and put that money into a new RV with payments and put it in a 55 plus RV park near your daughter?? Sneak your stuff out of that mobile home during the night, including all appliances AND fixtures, toilet, sinks, copper wiring, totally gut the place and drive away. Don't leave that SOB landlord anything to rent and drive away. He would not be expecting that and it would cost him thousands of dollars to fix to rent out. The longer you stay the more money he is getting from you that you could put into your new home and better for your health.
Oh how I wish it was that easy. I would have done so long ago. The landlord doesn't want to rent the unit, he wants the space. He wouldn't care if I left it gutted, less work for him to take it out and put a new one in. I would have loved to put a new one in a 55+ park, but I was happy to buy an older one for now. I had a couple lined up, but lost out because of this nightmare. My space rent is not too bad, but with the other bills I am pinching pennies every day because the area is so expensive; utilities, gas, etc.
@@pawsomfunandfrugalPleqse don't listen to such a crazy idea. Gutting a property and taking all of the fixtures with you, would get you arrested for a felony theft. Never take anything from a rented property that doesn't belong to you.
Thank you, I wouldn’t do that, except for taking the belongings that I paid for out of my unit. And technically, I could take most everything out of the mobile home unit itself since I own everything including the mobile home.
Contact ur state attorney generals office equal opportunity commission housing division….they handle landlord tenant issues and do it for free ….since u have lot rent u fall under their jurisdiction

Even if u can’t afford cameras…put up the notices that ur area is being recorded 24/7 and put up fake cameras if u have to…it’s amazing how well people behave when they think u have cameras on them recording their behavior.
We had a community board/website that someone started pre failure to maintain lawsuit. and sure, enough I would post something that needs repairing and the next day the office knew about it. There still are residents that think we were all making a big stink, loyal to the park. for whatever reason. and they will tattle on you to the office. These residents think the issues/conditions are not that bad. As of late we have very aggressive real estate agents leaving 'wine and cheese' event mixers at our doors due to the City of SJ re-zoning the park officially to a mobile home park. So many have sold to these people who drive pepto bismol pink Tesla's. Watch the news. I am certain the park is going to get re-assessed, make a few cosmetic changes and sell. Those officials might say they are in favor of trying to help you (singlar) but push comes to shove they will say well my hands are tied. I am rooting for you and praying that someone finally hears your voice. Put it out there, state level, attorney general, senators.. A senator many years ago helped push me through the system to get my father's Vietnam metals replaced when nobody else would help.

I just had an answer from another attorney that sounds like she’s not really up to par for the fight to help me. She’s leaning heavily on the parks, rules and rags and not even looking at the mobile home residency laws from what I can tell. But I’m gonna keep squeaking until someone really hears me. I am announcing it from every angle I can think of.
@@pawsomfunandfrugal i truly dk why with mobile homes in parks it is so difficult and en-trapping. The mgmt are realtors and not true property managers. Phew..only good thing is rent control even that park mgmt side eyes owners with that and sends notices that they could charge much more rent based on surrounding areas. Will keep you in prayers and wait for some great news updates!

really smart ideas. a little tip, when you clean the cabinets and drawers, a vacuum cleaner is very helpful to remove the dry debris then you dont have big particles sticking to your wet cloth or even dumping on the floor. a damp rag can get the smaller stuff after the vacuum. very well done 🙂

It’s a mobile home, used to be a travel trailer, but once it was affixed to a foundation it became a mobile home. At least that’s how California defines it.
I would dare say that the remarks are coming from someone the park owner knows... again trying to bully you!! You block them report them RU-vid for harassment!! Has it ever dawned on you that the real reason the park owner is being so bold is thst you have s very small unit..your lot may have actually fallen out of code so to speak and has now become a lot that is no longer serviceable per the current codes and he simply legally can't re rent it?? This really doesn't sound as much about you as it is him trying to cover his butt for some yet unseen reason and hes trying to make you his scape goat!! But at some point you do have to say when is when.. and how much peace you're willing to lose!!
Well, if it’s somebody that he knows, then that’s just gonna make it worse for him when this thing goes to court. And no, he would find a way to put a unit in here. He did it a few years ago to the space right behind me that is supposed to be the exact same size. After measuring my lot and the lot behind me, he took extra space, and I’m not sure that’s permitted either. If he didn’t get a permit for that, then he may be in trouble, i’m just speculating, but maybe he’s worried that another dealer will find out and turn him in for changing the lot sizes without permission from HCD.
@@pawsomfunandfrugal I would presume that you are paying lot rent for a certain size lot.. have been for some time..if he zoned out some of your lot for some one else..your lot decreased and he's still charging you the same amount rent per sqft and it's been decreased....he probably owes you money for that too,!! You know all bullies are just big cowards... and I still say at The end of the day he's hiding something and he's frightened!! You should really ask God if he's asking you to be a part of something alitte bigger than just selling your place!! Uncovering wrong doing for a pethra of reason!! Expand your mindfulness on this

If there is a hospital near you, you can rent your trailer out to a travelling nurse. They only stay for limited amounts of time but they pay great money. There are people who can help do all of it for you. If you can qualify for sec 8, get signed up as fast as possible. Tell them due to the current situation in the park you are at high risk for homelessness. Other options you haven't thought about.
My park owner prohibits renting out at all. You can only allow family members to stay with you for short periods of time, unless you put the family member on the rental agreement. And then you have to get a new rental agreement, and he can change your rules on it. You see what I’m working with?

Thank you, I'm not giving up per se, just saying that if he's going to drag out a legal fight for a couple of years which is what he keeps threatening to do, then I am stuck here for a couple of years until the fight is finished. I don't have much choice because I can't afford to pay to live somewhere else and still pay for this home at the same time.
There is a woman with a channel called Glorious Life on Wheels, who recently had a post about how the landlords of mobile home parks are harassing tenants. She did name a lawyer, but I didn't get their name.
