It all goes down here, all of my yarny shenanigans and the highs and lows I go through with sharing my art with the world. I love having others join my journey to becoming my own boss, one stitch at a time.
So happy you found my channel! I use to crochet years ago and have been wanting to get back into it and this is just the right channel to help me do that! Loving your vibes Sis! :)
Ooh yay! We can vibe off of each other, I love your content as well! Now that you're watching I'd better go make some content since it's been awhile lol.
Hey hey! Yes I'm doing really well, life has really picked up for me and I don't have the time that I used to. But hopefully soon I will be able to balance things out and get some more creative time to share with you guys! Thank you for thinking of me 😁😊
I actually wasn't interested in catching the yarn sale this year. I've been wanting to work with more natural fibers and honestly my local HobLob doesn't usually have the good stuff anymore. Kinda disenchanted.
Maybe you got a knock off pair. That stinks! My Etimos match my Rose hooks perfectly. I got a knock off set of Knit Pro hooks one time, and it was so disheartening, so I'm sorry that happened to you.
@@heritage.home.crochet You are so welcome. Just realized this…lol. If you get tired, stop. If this doesn’t align with you anymore, let it go. I’m thankful for what you’ve already put out. The internet can be exhausting! I’m sure you know all this as it is, but I needed to come back and check myself.
You play the ukulele...how cool! I also suffer with social anxiety. I enjoyed this video much. 💜 Love your black ruffle cardigan! I have finally caught up and watched all your videos. 🤩
Why thank you! I really think Hobby Lobby should pay me for how much I advertise them! I love this cardigan, but I want to make it out of a cotton because the acrylic is pilling too bad.
Absolutely! It's a real challenge sometimes. But I've learned over the past year to not put an on/off switch on my creativity because that's what happens, burnout and lack of motivation. Glad someone relates.
I love seeing your thought in your design process! And I 💯 agree about feeling like a villain if I’m not creating lol!!! I’m not sure what 3 words describe my year, I’ll have to think about that………
I'm glad someone understands that villain thing haha, it's kinda crazy! Thank you for watching, this one was a labor of love and deeply personal for me. I'm baring myself ahhhhh! Hehe.
@@heritage.home.crochet it’s so hard to have all that creative energy pent up inside without an outlet! That’s why I love making videos about my crochet. It makes me be creative twice!!!!
I crochet with the knife hold. I am a blend of a creative and administrator. I'm also a one woman show with the occasional help from the yarn husband. I am Earth conscious by recycling, reusing materials such as water when dyeing yarn and reusing plastic. Also, I have volunteered for Adopt-A-Highway several times and picked up trash along roads. A handmade business I recommend is The Fibertry. It is a stationery and journal business. @TyedyeDiva My Myers-Briggs personality is the INTJ-T Architect. I don't use Twitch but I know that a lot of crocheters are doing Twitch lives.
😁😁😁 I just love you Roshelle! And it makes sense because ENFPs love INTJs! Thank you for participating in my little crochet and chat sesh! I appreciate your efforts to be earth conscious, you put me to shame. I had no clue that's what Adopt-A-Highway was about.
It sounds like you had a wonderful Journey and came out the other side a much more fulfilled person. I'm so happy for you! The color you're using for the hat is really nice, if he's a guy that loves blue and it seems like most do, he's going to love it.
What a lovely beginning, it was very calming. Thank you for sharing your personal journey with us. ❤ Im using soft secret for a baby blanket, love it! I also said the other day on the zoom call that its a dupe to simply caron! Lol, only it’s slightly thicker..i agree soft secret is lighter. What a bummer that sweet divinity is discontinued, I totally wanted to try that out when my “no buy year” is over! Anyway, great video!
Thanks for watching! Yes, Soft Secret is one of my favorites! I like the sheen and it is really soft and slick. The Sweet Divinity was hard to see go. It's such an interesting range of colors. A "no buy" year sounds like something I should be on haha. I'm trying to whittle down my stash. I really appreciate you stopping by my channel! Didn't realize that was you Delilah haha!
The hat is going to be gorgeous when it's all done, the yarn is so pretty. I find it can be so difficult with yarns to decide what stitches to use. It's one of the reasons I rarely choose tweedy yarns because I feel like any "fun" gets lost in the knobbly bits that make it tweed. Congrats on the pattern release!!! I feel like you and I make things the same way - see picture, figure out. So glad to see your episode today!
Wonderful video! 🙌🏼✨ I have a doubt. Do you feel any difference between the handle of the black crochet tulip and the pink one (or red if you have one)? I have a red Crochet tulip and the handle is very soft, like velvet and I just bought a black handle crochet tulip and it doesn't feel as soft as the red one, I don't know if I got ripped off. I wait your answer 💕
My pink one and my dark gray one do feel slightly different. I haven't tried the Red one, but from what I hear, it does have a more silky finish to it. The pink one feels like a really hard rubber to me, but the dark gray feels like a smoother rubber.
@@heritage.home.crochet Thanks for answering 🥹🙌🏼 I feel that the black crochet slides a little better than the pink one. I bought them in a store in my country (Peru) that says it is an official distributor of the Tulip brand. But your answer cleared my doubt about the red etimo version. Indeed, it is the one that slides and its handle has a very soft texture.
@@roxi4514 Oh good, I'm glad you didn't get dupes. I don't think anyone could duplicate the craftsmanship and quality of Tulip anyway. If it wasn't real, I hope it would be very obvious.
Just found your channel and this is the first video I watch! :) Gorgeous makes! Regarding the issue you are talking about around 13:50. Instead of the foundation chain I would recommend you trying the foundation cord, if you haven't already tried it. In many ways the cord can be more accurate than the chain when it comes to length. One other perk is the really neat edge, since the cord is like "2 rows", almost like a square shape. Looking forward to watching your previous and upcoming videos!
You know, for that particular project, I did do a foundation chord, I think foundation hdc. That's pretty much how I start all of my projects if not in the round. But I find that the problem still happens depending on the stitch pattern used. But I'm learning. For taller stitches it will fan out, but for small stitches it will draw up. Thank you for your suggestion anyway, I appreciate all of the help.
@@heritage.home.crochet I'm fairly sure that you misunderstood me. A foundation cord is different from a foundation sc/hdc/dc. The link below is a video from Outstanding Crochet on how to crochet the foundation cord. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D2qUB8t4uc8.html&ab_channel=OutstandingCrochet
@@ickachu Ohhh! :-O This is cool! I see what you mean. I LOVE this. I am definitely trying this for something soon. Thank you! Yes, I wonder what would be the result if i used a really stretchy stitch pattern with this cord.
Maybe with ur spa colored yarn shirt panel u could make a simple cardigan with that panel being for the back & then u would make two panels for the front. It would be very flowy with that beautiful stitch pattern.
I have been in a hat/beanie making mood recently. I do not wear hats though 🧶❤😂😂 I will also be working on my yarn stash the end of this year. I just can't find the yarn I do want in my stash.
O my gosh, you'd look so cute in a hat! You have the face for it! I found out my local yarn store will give you 20% off if you bring in yarn for donation.
@@heritage.home.crochet That is awesome 👏 but I dont think I live anywhere close to your yarn store🤪 I know one of my goals is to teach others to crochet so i know I will be donating yarn for that. I hope you finish all the crochet things. (WIPS) so you cant start new ones🤗
@@carolinefortheloveofcrochet I guess I should have finished that thought rofl 🤣. What I meant to say is maybe you can see if any local yarn stores will take what you don't want and maybe you'll get a little discount... I got distracted earlier, but was so stoked to share that some yarn stores do that lol!!
Yay! Happy podcastiversary!! I like clover amours too, but these are EVEN better in my humble opinion. I'm actually going to do another video comparing it to both clover hooks.
This is a wonderful review. I love that the set comes with the great bag/roll(?) case! Do you think you might do some yarn reviews too? I would love an in depth review for yarn that you like if you come across anything good. There are so many yarns I would love to try but some reviews would make it so much easier to commit!
Hello! So glad you enjoyed the review, and I would be happy to review some yarns! I have so many that have impressed me and others, not so much, so it would be a no brainer to review them! I have some yarns in mind, but if there are any that you can think of that you want to know about, let me know!
Awww me toooo! You so sweet 🎂 Claudia. I've been a little out of the RU-vid world as I've been sick for like 3 weeks (previously recorded vid). But I hope to get caught up on everyone's vids pretty soon. I miss everyone.
My first video with you and you are an adorable person. Just a joy to watch. You have a great sense of design! I love your vest/top thing! I had a thought on that panel you did up, could you seam the short ends together and wear it as a cowl? You could even twist it to make it more interesting maybe? Just a thought. I'd be hesitant to undo all that work also
Hi! Love all your makes especially your tunic!! Creativity takes time so just go with the flow - the rest will follow. Until next time have a blessed day.
You look great in all your makes but my fave is your tunic - so cute!! I wish I could whip up stuff like that without a pattern. You have a gift. Enjoyed - happy thanksgiving! Xoxo
@@heritage.home.crochet I've never formally designed anything, but there's a reason 😅. My brain would like go nuts. Good on you for trying and working thru everything needed to do the job.
