Yes, snug for sure! My gauge for this project was so tight, especially for making the yoke. But I was soo happy to try my hand at colorwork and following a written pattern for the first time. It's like my trophy sweater haha, I'm glad you liked the colors! Thanx for watching!
Love the sweater. Try on a swatch but if you stretch acrylic than holding a hot 🔥 steam iron above it, NOT TOUCHING IT. you can 'kill' the yarn. And it's stays in the stretched state. As I say make a test piece using same yarn and stitch .measure Stretch, even if it's damp. Then 'kill' it RE measure. Worth trying if you're not happy with sweater.
Thank you so much for that suggestion, I didn't know you shouldn't touch it so that's really helpful to know. Honestly I've dropped a few pounds since making it, so it's fitting better. I may not have to do anything to it. I've definitely learned to test my garments for comfort as I make them. I can't wait to update everyone on my next sweater. It's lovely!
Love your sweater🤎💙❤️💙🤎❤️. Possible suggestion for blocking the sweater to make it a little relaxed is washing the sweater with hair conditioner or steaming blocking ( be careful). My goal this year is to follow a crochet sweater pattern.
Thank you for that suggestion! I will try that suggestion. You can do it! Once I realized that it was just a few basic shapes put together I felt like I could do it! One that I'm interested in is the Color Pop Sweater by My Square Hat. It was features on the Zeens and Rogers crochet podcast episode #86. Lovely, just lovely. It's in my ravelry queue now.
I would def watch a video about taking care of yourself during long periods of crochet. I’m trying to finish a mosaic blanket and have a deadline of my aunts bday, which is soon! I was just looking at drops yarn and wondering about the quality and workability, etc. Would love to see your thoughts on that. I love your sweater 😍. I know it didn’t turn out exactly how you wanted it to but it looks stunning! I’m still plugging away on mine but need to finish my blanket.
Oh we crazy crocheters! Living in the edge and crocheting so many things at once. I have 2 baby blankets to make, they are each due in 9 weeks. I think they'll both come early!!
