I have a 4K TV and a RetroTINK 4K so I'm good on that front. Actually if you're doing retro gaming, even on older consoles, a PC CRT monitor looks amazing. Let me know if you'd like to see more videos of either!
@@JeremyKingTech I think @andreakitty was being sarcastic. At least I hope he was. BTW I used to own this exact Monitor at university in the 2000's played a lot of Halo on this thing. Great monitor.
@@markrung8051 thanks for your comment! it's difficult for me to tell when people are being serious or not. But yeah, glad to hear the monitor comes by good review. I'll definitely be using it to play games!
@@markrung8051 But how can something old look good when it doesnt have 4K UHD??? You can't even use AI on it, and I use AI on all my movies to make them look watchable now.
We had a CRT TV when I was a kid that I was always anxious to touch because it would give really intense static zaps! ⚡ Hopefully this little guy treats me more kindly! 😂
@@thesmokecriminal5395 for sure - this is a video I shot in 2016 and I realized when I was editing it that I didn't explain this part (or I lost the footage I don't remember). I have a shallow tray which I lined with a plastic bag and then I filled it with warm water. I turned the board upside down so that only the switches were submerged in the warm water (it was very shallow water - the mainboard wasn't submerged, just the key switches). Then as I show in the video, I pushed the board up and down to activate the switches to melt the dried cola and move and dirt off of the board into the water. I did this a couple of times before I dried all of the pieces and then focused on using rubbing alcohol/water mixture on each of the individual switches. I hope that info helps!
It's sort of crazy that it's still possible to buy new old stock CRTs in 2024! This monitor is going to be part of a retro PC build I'm working on. Would you like to see video about it?
If it was that much better, you’d be able to plug it in and see a difference. The fact that just about everyone has to take it apart to see what they got proves to me that the difference is insignificant.
It's an issue of diminishing returns. there is an obvious difference but it depends on the screen you're using. Nothing is going to beat a good old CRT but if you're on a flat panel, you'll notice the difference between composite, s-cable, component etc. Get into 4K panels with proper upscaling and you'll definitely see the difference between a 1 chip vs 2 chip. At the end of the day though, this is a really nit picky area of focus. Some people strive for perfection. The rest of us just like to play our games and enjoy them! :-) Thanks for watching!
This is very unlikely to work exactly the same in TOTK as in BOTW. This is an old method and development for TOTK involved many new methods. If there is enough people asking on my channel for it I would consider making new tutorials for TOTK.
@JeremyKingTech yes please it will be great to now how to mod TOTK and modify the text in the game ... and I want to add my first language to the game, but the Arabic letters are so difficult I hope you can help me in this project I have small background in this but not to do something like this
Hi, does a US region dvd player work on an EU region laptop? My old laptop is US region.I have now a new laptop, but im in EU now.I wonder if I could use my old dvd player on my new laptop.
Noob here. I have some compressed wux files that I want to install on my Aroma mod. Do I have to uncompresse them first or can they be installed to an external hard drive in their compressed state? Thanks
hey! thanks for your interest in this! it still exists and I'm still working on it. I've just pulled the work in progress versions from GameBanana for the time being. It will absolutely be released to the public for free once it's complete.
None of these worked for me. Only way I can watch videos is in incognito mode. I can watch videos on my iPhone logged in, as soon as I login on my PC they don’t work. If I log in on my work laptop, does not play videos
I’m on the same boat. After Mike left, they lost their unique sound he brought. Along with Raine changing his vocal style. Naveed to Spiritual Machines are the only OLP listens for me. I get it though, bands change sounds. But Mike could have evolved too with his own unique sound.
@@johngore3364 So true, he had a very unique guitar sound. He was like the Edge, but more aggressive and with a more modern rock sensibility. One of the most criminally underrated guitar players ever.
Like when you ran the test, I see the output of the test visually but do not see the data as demonstrated on the validrive gibson research page which shows the actual numbers. Any idea of how to make this display?
I want to get an actual upscaler. Is the 5x worth it? Or would i be happy with the 2x? Im ok to spend 300 on 5x but im having a hard time justifying it.
I think it depends on your TV resolution in terms of whether you should get a 2x or 5x line scaler. In terms of features, the RetroTink 5x offers so much more than the 2x does. With upgradable firmware, It's been consistently updated over the years. The same can't be said for the 2x. If you have the money, get a 5x imo.
Hey man! Can you do a video on how to run a windows program on the steam os on 1080p while on handheld mode? I want to buy the steam deck to use it with Autocad and to play some games, but the Autocad interface on a 800p screen is very limited and maybe the deck has a way to "render" that resolution (like a virtual resolution). Can you do a video please! :)
Just received a new CD drive for my Lenevo and thanks to your no nonsense instructional video. I actually installed drive near perfect - it was just the door's latch not closing being not exactly as the original so I devised something to hold the CD in while being played with a Velcro band attached to the outside of the laptop coming down around to the back. As to disassembling drive from the back, I discovered it was simply taking that tiny screw (connector tab screw) that attaches the drive (back center of drive) and it simply pulled out. Installing the new drive was as simple by pushing it back in making terminal contacts. But thank you to help me understand that otherwise I could not have done it. Here they charge a whopping $150 bucks. Appreciate your know how!
Yes unless otherwise stated in the changelog. If it's an experimental build there's a higher chance of losing a feature because of course it's experimental. Always check the changelogs though!
Dude, this is amazing, I sat and tried everything. This mic fix also works for just about any mic I've used on my pc so far, including my little cheapo Onn headset. I'm so glad you posted this, thank you!!!!
Thank you so so so so much I recorded an entire RU-vid video playing cuphead the final boss of the DLC and I was so disappointed because the audio was horrible and I had no idea my Logitech webcam had a microphone in it and my computer updated yesterday and I didn't know that was default I have to redo everything now for the video but now in the future I know what to do so thank you very very very very very very much
70 is fine as well. It won't evaporate as quickly but it works l. Just make sure everything is absolutely dry before you put power to it and turn it on.
A couple hours should be fine but use your eyes as well as common sense. I would test some on your motherboard and see how fast it evaporates. Etc. If you're scrubbing in any tight place, you really want to make sure no liquid remains in some crevice. Err on the side of caution. You really don't want to short anything out.
I have to tell you something, please go back to your audio control panel and and uncheck give exclusive access, windows is recording us all , everything. I was warned by another RU-vidr and out of respect I just told you. Your mic will sound clear like it's supposed to.
