i know this is very old post but im thinking about something similiar for my 1 meter wingspan fixed wing, will use 40A t-motor motor. What you think? It will melt the plastic or even springs etc?
I like what you have done. HD is an awesome platform, I have several of them. Do you plan to do a video on the analog platform? There are still customers using analog and would like to see the performance of analog as well as 03, caddx, and walksnail.
Why dont you make use of the antenna as landing legs/stands instead of just pointing out all over the place, you can make em multi-purpose that way and give em a strong springy plastic or something. Send me a drone to test if you make use of this :P im broke and it looks cool
I’ve always wondered if the motors stacked on top of each other causes inefficiency? because if you think about it, both top and bottom motors are pushing the same air molecules, but if they were spread apart they would be pushing twice the air instead of pushing the same air twice. Either way that still a bad ass drone.
For me wanting a longrange, lightweight forward flying cruiser, I would ditch the top motors in front and increase prop sizes for the bottom ones. Now I wonder what would happen if I halve the size of the rear motor/blade combo, maybe lengthen the tail arm to compensate?😂
can u just put on a good camera like a night vision DJI cam style & leave out the Go-Pro? It looks like it should get good reception with the antenna like they are.. it looks really good quality
@@DaveCFPV Oh, sadly, thought it's somewhere near the xt60 connector,, behind the body. At the specs on the site therefore some sort of misleading, coz there are buzzer listed. Also complaining between this one and rekon 5. I'm relatively new in FPV, and for this moment i figured out, that minilongrange is my main interest. Wanna carry fullsize gopro on the aircraft. This one is more capable, but wanna see more reviewa and footage of flight performance, light freestyle. Can't find rekon 6 on sale,, i think if it was, i took rekon 6 to carry gopro.
You told you will talk about the pros and cons but the cons never came :( Here I got some what I was seeing and hearing in the video. After take off a seconds later you tell you have an ND filter and stabilization ON and right in the next sentece you say it's not stabilized (afterwards, No! Becuse you can't stabilized a footage twice).. I don't need 2 extra motors and pros to take a fullsize action cam thats a lot of addicional weight..just increesing the prop size makes the deal. It has a lot of vibrations (visible in the footage in the freestyle section) and the yawl feels strange by every "Y" configuration. It's small BUT is not for freestyle, is cinematic BUT is not long range, it's stable BUT you can't dive. It's good BUT is unnecesary. Your best product was the recon 6, thats an amazing rig this should be minimum as good as that is if you coming out with a new quad in 2024. The quality is realy nice, the prints are well made and it's visible that you were thiking on this for a while but did it made the point? A few years earlier it would be an amazing idea. It's like iFlight's Afterburner 5 it's unnecesary, thay also made a quad which is cinematic and great and nobody saw something like this before and it has the props in view and is perfect for everything but . In my opinion it's something what keeps the numbers up, you have to come out whit something otherwise people will buy other companies Y6-es and Afterburers. Peace! ✌
Is there such a thing as a separate 'mothership' drone with a sole purpose of hovering up high / hold it's altitude statically with a signal repeater setup of sorts? I would think the signal penetration and distance would be much greater than just ground to drone alone. Sounds like a product begging to be created with many uses even outside just hobby level.
This is super cool. I want one because it is just so different from what everyone else is doing. You should definitely capitalize on this and make a 2207 "Tank" version for freestyle. Either way, this is badass and props (hahahaha) to you for making such a unique frame.
