Just wondering why they had to come to Scotland to do it aren't there any high mountains in England or Wales and if anything went wrong it would be up to a Scottish mountain rescue team to go get them they might be fire fighters but there not experienced in complex mountain rescue are they
Well done on call/retained is a great way to get into the service but it’s a real commitment to provide cover and have to sacrifice holiday from your employment to attend various courses in your development but very rewarding I did 36 years with a great crew!
I no the service as a lot of male fire fighters but in the Station if there a female crew member do they get there own sleeping area if still share with then men
Hello! Great question - new cadets will be invited to open night session or the cadets passout parade to get to see what the cadets do and an induction presentation is shown to all new cadets. If you start the cadets and realise its not for you, you can leave at any time.
Hi Toby, for the manual dexterity test, candidates won’t be told how to put the equipment together. However, there are both written and pictorial instructions on a board in front of them which will give them all the information they need to assemble and disassemble the equipment.
