Essex firefighters climb Ben Nevis to achieve UK's highest ladder pitch 

9 hours, 31,469 steps, 1,345 metres climbed, 20-degree heat, 15kg firefighting kit and carrying a ladder! That’s what our firefighters from Halstead Fire Station did this time last week.
Successfully achieving the UK’s highest ladder pitch at the top of Ben Nevis, they have raised over £7,600 for the Fire Firefighters Charity and we couldn’t be more proud ❤️
