Congrats on your job. You have a great attitude. Also via referral, I’m at 50% decrease after 8 months unemployed. I’ll be starting my new job July 11th with an older legacy type tech company. It’s 50% more than I was making without a job. So that’s my attitude (half cup full not cup half empty) good luck for everyone out there still searching.
My advice for any young person is, its not sexy, and they dont give tons of perks or throw tons of money at you but try very very hard to get in to a County/State/Federal job, that is a job with a pension system and strong union. its generally more secure....I have worked 37 years at a County job and they had only 2 what I would call big layoffs in those 37. milestones just fly by, 5,10,15 years and then before you know it you are 55 with a forever pension that will go till you suffle off this earth.
I worry about young and even older tech workers.....I think Ai is going to just gobble most of those jobs up. it doesn't sleep, it doesn't take time off and it doesn't need a paycheck. at the end of the day all of these jobs that have humans in them are them pushing buttons on a keyboard depending on what info is being fed them....well hell they will work out how to get Ai to do that. it doesn't even need its own computer! I think the next 10-20 years is going to be a rough time for young people with tech skills. even jobs that are by extension tech jobs such as marketing.....Ai can now create anything you need, ad's, jingles,.and multiple versions and variants, all it would need is an overseer to approve its work.
I graduated in 2008 and was laid off twice from banks. Sometimes you're like a bow and arrow and have to go backwards before you can go forwards. After getting laid off I had to do warehouse, oystershucking, and landscaping. Now Im an insurance underwriter. Career's aren't always a linear progression. Don't be afraid to try different industries and go where the competition isn't. I struggled with trying to get back into banking when there were a million unemployed bankers in 2008 like tech is today. Try something else or do tech for a different industry.
Thank you for sharing your experience and advice. 😊 I’ve taken a job with a 40% pay cut base salary. I know it’s the best choice right now and I’m so grateful that I even have a job right now. Times are rough.🥲
😂 my case is as follows: my dad has all the money in the world. Im totally bored with my life. I have nothing to look forward to. Me, my friends, and family are completely out of touch with reality. I have zero imagination. But i wanna feel like a real person, and i think this hat will help me fit in with the pleebs. The defense rests.
I use an android phone. And i use chatgpt sometimes by throw Google. I think chatgpt has a link option in a left corner where you type for question. And if you click that link it will give you some options and 2 options for camera and some options like Google drive.... So you can take or send a fresh picture of your's and ask it to analyse your face it will done the job for you. I did it like that before not so long ago when anyone watching this comment. And it's turned out perfectly i guess. If you believe in chatgpt. *BTW sorry for horrible English I'm not an English speaker.*
I did a quick and dirty in person analysis (not entirely convinced by it ) that showed I have mainly warm undertone (which I believe to be true, browns ,ivories, burnt oranges, brick reds, emeralds and forest greens look great on me) but every time I take a photo in natural lighting it always comes out really cool toned, I'm gonna give it a go for funsies but if true or dark winter comes out again, I'll be doubt full (white and most pinks look terrible on me and black works but is not my best)
Want to make up the pay cut difference? Invest in monthly paying ETF stocks. It can help pay your expenses. Your age group should be investing in the stock market anyway to help build wealth towards retirement. Don't depend on social security or a 401K. You can take more risk in the market because you're still young. Start learning more about investing and less time playing Candy Crush. A lot of baby boomers now are entering retirement period broke because they didn't prepare financially. It's not too early to start. Just an experienced observer here.
@TechSav18 Rn is a registered nurse. So you have to be a nurse but the patient also needs to be quickly interviewed by a doctor to ensure they know the risks
Holy heck they look like they are in their 40s. Gorgeous still but a lot older. It’s sad that so many women feel like they need to do this. I hope they are happier afterwards though, life’s too short to be self conscious. ❤
It all depends on placement. Every time you move your face, you make the skin bunch up. The more often you do that, eventually wrinkles and fine lines will form. Botox disables the muscle under the skin, which means no more movement and no more wrinkles. The problem is that there are a lot of muscles in the face. If you are not properly trained on anatomy, you can target the wrong muscles and it makes your face look droopy, making you look aged. These women also have a lot of filler. It’s nice to have full cheeks, but with too much your eyes can end up looking smaller and recessed adding to the aged look. Also, doctors used to believe that filler would eventually be broken down and removed by the body, but they’ve actually found that it migrates to other areas, eventually making your face look puffy or it settles in weird ways.
