I have been working on cars for many years now, but please note I am not a mechanic. I try to show jobs I do on vehicles that don’t already have a video.
Thanks for watching.
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SEEK THE HELP OF A PROFESSIONAL IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF HOW TO DO SOMETHING.
Can we spray some disinfectant on the motor after taking it out and let it dry before reinstalling it? My motor had a mice nest and I wanted to disinfect it..
So if you’re not a fan of scotch locks cut the wire, but but connector in, put the wire from the light into one side of the boat connector, then stick to wires together in to the other side of the boat connector and make a proper connection prior put a piece of heat, shrink tubing over the long piece of wire slide it over the back connector and heat shrink the connection. It’s not a big deal. It’s not brain Surgery
Great video, very helpful. As you point out you car was an earlier model it might help 2008 owners to know that when changing the plugs on this model there is not only the 2 bolts holding on the plastic cover for the rocker cover, but also a plastic clip at the back but also (beware of a bolt at the back on the left which if not greased when it replaced can become rusted and very difficult to remove. I had to use an impact driver to remove mine and was a giveaway that the plugs must not have been replaced fore a long time. This might be something to lookout for when buying a second hand version).
THANK YOU. Just bought a used 1998 Honda CRV and pulled the blower fan because of this video. Several leafs & stems in there. "ABS Control Unit is under the blower motor, to its right, and it prevents the blower motor from being removed. There is a good 1 inch overlap so no matter how much I wiggle, twist, turn or angle the blower motor, it just doesn't come out." Only 3 extra bolts and you can push the ABS unit out of the way freeing the blower fan. Hope this helps anyone who was struggling like me!
Honda part number: 78181-SF1-612 in case you missed it. The 97 CR-V part number is 78181-SF1-610. I understand why you want to be so careful and not do anything rough with the bezel, but since that cover is on the back and is NOT held in by any screws, why can't you release the clips from the back??? I've got one of these bulbs out and I think I'll give this a go, but get it apart from the back. I don't like the idea of taking the whole bezel apart just to get to a bulb under a cover on the back.
Great video, very helpful. I have a question about fuel pump. My 2003 vito w638 doesn't have electric pump in fuel pump assembly. Is that normal, does vito 2003 come with Electric fuel pump in fuel tank. Thanks
